  1. I feel sorry for the ipswich management trying to promote this meeting. I suppose it's just about bearable if you live local, but I certainly wouldn't travel far to watch it.
  2. Can anyone please confirm if this coming Saturdays event is still on, and what time does it start.
  3. maybe a bit soon for Zak, but Wilson dean could do a job at reserve.
  4. according to the mildenhall website Michael, it's fen tigers v the Danes.
  5. I saw quite a few youngsters at kent kings last, they are definetly a minority at speedway these days.
  6. When I was younger PC meant Peter Collins, nowadays it stands for something completely different. I know which one I prefer!
  7. Both are fine talents that I have enjoyed watching on numerous occasions this season.
  8. The club belongs in the NL just like plymouth. The likes of eastbourne and brum have survived purely because of the NL. Cut your cloth accordingly and ride out the storm, that is the only way british speedway will survive.
  9. Last night was my ninth meeting of the season at kent, and three of those have failed to go the distance. Apart from the teams performances, the curfew is the main problem at Central Park. You can't keep charging people for fifteen heats and regularly give them less. With any luck, when the Fridays start next season things will be different.
  10. I know plenty of fans myself included that attend both.
  11. the madness of uncle Len is catching shads!
  12. come on shads, that fourth bend air fence panel is just waiting to be punctured. Give tommy Allen a ring!
  13. It was nice of Neil middleditch to give her a mention on sky TV tonight.
  14. Is my username offensive to some people on this forum. If it is, maybe they should strip white city of the 1977 league championship, and remove the oxford rebels from the speedway history books!
  15. Bunners and lukey must be options, what about talking two laps tom out of retirement!
  16. I'm a regular at rye, eastbourne and kent. All three tracks have been poor at times this season, excessive dust at all three venues. Who is to blame, the track curator, the promoter or does the material used these days fail to retain water. It's a problem that occurs during afternoon and evening meetings during the summer months. I know I'm getting fed up with it, god knows how the riders must feel riding with limited visibility.
  17. i never mentioned EL racing, you said they were losing money now
  18. what makes you think that kent are losing money, they have no landlords and get very good crowds for NL racing.
  19. yes that was us. The dust certainly spoiled the meeting for me, just as it did at eastbourne the previous Sunday.
  20. A big crowd again tonight, who voiced their displeasure at being short changed again. This was the third meeting in the last nine that I have attended that has failed to go the distance at Central Park.
  21. What tragic news about one so young. I also remember her posts when I first joined the forum. RIP.
  22. you could have fooled me, I got covered in dust sitting in the new stand on the first and second bend. For the record, it was uncle Len who soaked the clerk of the course, it's a shame he didn't put more water on the track instead!
  23. Eastbourne, kent and rye house are getting really good crowds at NL level. There seems to be a real appetite for third tier racing in the south east. With any luck lakeside and the IOW will join them next season!
