  1. Well done for trying to get some answers. As a lifelong Wimbledon fan, I would hate to see the robins go the same way as the dons!
  2. As I get older I get less tolerant about most things in life, this includes long delays at speedway meetings. Most of my mates feel the same way, so I am not unique. The rapidly shrinking speedway fan base is mostly made up of older people, so it might be an idea for the promoters to run a slicker show, to stop us dying of boredom!
  3. It was a poor meeting last night, but to be fair, the track rode a lot worse than it looked!
  4. What will happen if gaming international walk away. Will the abbey remain in place, or be demolished with no new stadium built.
  5. to be honest with you, 2006 seems like a lifetime ago in speedway terms. Reading and oxford were still in the EL then.
  6. An awful meeting today, which crawled along at a snails pace. The crowd was poor, and to those that stayed away, lucky you!
  7. There must be a deadline for work to begin on the new stadium. Won't swindon have to declare at the BSPA conference their intention to run next season.
  8. i said the same thing to my mate tonight. It was a really nasty crash and brad was lucky to walk away with only minor injuries.
  9. i agree, well done to the council for protecting belle vue's heritage. Here in london, once the power base of british speedway, our famous clubs were just left to die.
  10. I wonder if another season at the abbey is on the cards.
  11. i totally agree with you. Both of my kids were keen speedway fans that have been to loads of tracks. Now they are heavily into football and never mention speedway. Who wants to stand in an empty stadium with poor facilities, watching a poor product that no one has heard of. I bet none of my kids mates know what speedway is.
  12. early days, but Monday don't look too much better. Is there any re staging dates for the play off fixtures.
  13. whatever the weather, it's still gonna be a big task to get the new stadium up and running by April 2016.
  14. looking at the rainfall radar, I don't think you're gonna get it.
  15. a pretty depressing read to be honest, fingers crossed for a positive outcome.
  16. he was a bald geezer with a bad attitude, always giving verbals to the punters. He was an easy target really.
  17. extend the date to when, October?. The weather is closing in and the semi finals are due to begin this week. If coventry had started their home league fixtures earlier in the season, they would have qualified.
  18. An excellent well run meeting at west row yesterday, as always the fish and chips were food heaven!
  19. anyone that attended the numerous double headers at white city in the 1970's would know exactly what you mean Eddie!
