  1. They are no different down south. They started off higher, but have soon reduced to a lower level. They might creep up a bit, now that restrictions are lifted.
  2. No mask enforcement or Covid stewards at Eastbourne yesterday. They jumped the gun by a day because of the extreme heat. I was grateful not to wear one.
  3. They did the same at Oxford. Luckily i was at Arena Essex that night!
  4. If that is the case, it should be announced. Fans have shelled out £25 for today's double header. They should be entitled to a refund.
  5. If Poole don't get a decent turnout in perfect weather for the return of Crump and Pedersen, what hope is there?
  6. With the weather set fair. There should be a full house at Arlington on Sunday.
  7. To be fair to Len Silver. After last weeks Kent v Eastbourne fiasco, he did apologise and admit that he got it wrong by not pulling the plug earlier. It was refreshing to hear, when most promoters don't accept liability for anything.
  8. That old chestnut was used all the time, pre internet!
  9. I now take speedway with a pinch of salt. I went to my nearest track Kent last night, not caring who was riding, just hopeful of seeing a few decent races for the £20 i shelled out. My expectations for the sport are low, so I'm not usually disappointed.
  10. You mean July 14th. Surely this will be the last all ticket meeting, before restrictions are lifted.
  11. No spare dates in the fixture list. The next free Tuedsay is October 26th!. A couple more rain offs could leave the club with a major problem. In hindsight, running two teams in a shortened season, might prove to be a step too far.
  12. That's the problem with all ticket meetings. Once you buy, you're commited to go. It's bearable, if it's local.
  13. I was never confident the meeting would be on, considering the amount of rain i went through on the M25. i didn't bother going in, i diverted to a local football match after the plug was pulled.
  14. Suprised it's on, if I'm honest. After last nights heavy rain, it's still very showery.
  15. In the present climate, i don't take it for granted that any meeting is on. Covid, football or the weather, make your choice!
  16. Hopefully they'll be no need for tickets in a couple of weeks time. I'm getting fed up with it, if I'm honest.
  17. Eastbourne v Leicester is off next Sunday and England haven't qualified yet. Promotors just can't absorb the potential financial losses.
  18. There was a downpour at Eastbourne right on start time, but luckily it didn't last long enough to do too much damage.
  19. Would the crowds return, if fewer meetings were staged with all the top riders competing. We were discussing this subject at Eastbourne this afternoon.
