Plymouth Vs Rye House 19/08/2016 @ 1915
cityrebel replied to pitgate52's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Is it in the rules to change your line up once it has been declared. -
i've not seen him this season.
-
You can pass on the island if you are prepared to take the high wide line. The home riders pulled off some great overtakes last night using that method. It's not for the faint hearted though!
-
There was some decent racing last night, despite the scoreline. The warriors have certainly hit the jackpot with their new reserve pairing.
-
I reckon the 'triple header' on the sunday, might run into the monday shads!
-
Rye v Sheffield now Tuesday 13th september.

As a central park regular, I'd say Kents crowds are exceptional for NL speedway. Despite the 6.30 start time and the dreaded curfew the fans keep on coming, me included!

Rye House Vs Glasgow Pl Saturday 13/08/2016

The bald track at rye is not helping the home riders like lykke and robbo who are not the best gaters. Kennett was 'dead' tonight once young dan got the drop on him in heat 10. Come on BMR sort the track out, your riders deserve better. -
10/8/71 west ham v wolves heat 1. Trapped on Olsen and led from start to finish. It brought the (custom) house down!. I remember it like it was yesterday, one of those moments that turn a wide eyed child into a lifelong speedway fan.

The laurels was my first ever meeting at Wimbledon in 1968 and my last ever meeting at plough lane in 2005!
-
I went to the meeting in 1985, it attracted a decent crowd considering the dons had dropped Down to the NL. I remember the programme was awful, a large brochure covering all of the sports plus a basic race card insert.

He wasn't a flop the night he beat Ole Olsen at West Ham!

I've been to four meetings on the island this season. The latest one to finish was last weeks cradley match which ended at 21.05! -
not a problem according to mr drury!
-
I can't believe that jack rode on after being thrown over the fence like a rag doll. Best wishes also to shane hazelden after another awful looking crash in heat 14.
-
I went to Peterbrough yesterday, it was an excellent meeting. Including tractor breaks and interval it was all done and dusted within 90 minutes. Barring accidents, this is how all meetings should be run.

It was an excellent meeting last night with some very good racing. With zagar in their side the aces could have nicked a win. Not a bad crowd considering the horrendous traffic problems in the surrounding areas. -
the flag Marshall had his back to the oncoming bike, so knew very little about it!

No zagar for belle vue tonight, R/R instead. 'Tape burn to his neck' is the official reason for his absence. Don't you just love the EL! -
tyler lost control entering the third bend and the bike careered across the centre green almost collecting the flag Marshall on the fourth bend!. The handlebars looked detached when the bike came to a halt. I'm not sure if that was the cause of the crash.

It was good to see a big crowd on the island last night. It was not the best of meetings racing wise, but the close score kept the match interesting.
