I went to IOW last Thursday, lakeside Friday, peterborough Sunday and kent on Monday. There were decent crowds at all four venues, so it's not all doom and gloom.
I can't believe that jack rode on after being thrown over the fence like a rag doll. Best wishes also to shane hazelden after another awful looking crash in heat 14.
I went to Peterbrough yesterday, it was an excellent meeting. Including tractor breaks and interval it was all done and dusted within 90 minutes. Barring accidents, this is how all meetings should be run.
It was an excellent meeting last night with some very good racing. With zagar in their side the aces could have nicked a win. Not a bad crowd considering the horrendous traffic problems in the surrounding areas.
tyler lost control entering the third bend and the bike careered across the centre green almost collecting the flag Marshall on the fourth bend!. The handlebars looked detached when the bike came to a halt. I'm not sure if that was the cause of the crash.
maybe they should have learned from last season. The lack of meetings and awful track conditions have made watching speedway at rye a chore for me this year. I hope things improve soon.
The new promoters at rye seem to have no sense of urgency in running meetings. Strung out parades, multiple tractor breaks and extended intervals just add to the experience of watching Speedway in a building site.
the lack of dirt on the track at rye this season is an embarrassment. who is responsible for this, the infamous mr richter or is he acting under orders. come back len all is forgiven!
I went to the 1984 long track final at herxheim. It poured with rain the night before the meeting. I can remember the emergency services doing a fantastic job, pumping the water off the track to ensure the final could go ahead.
I didn't enjoy the last two day event in 1985, so I was never going to go to this. I was suprised to see dave kennett at Eastbourne last night, when eddie was riding at the showground.
