With the weather forecast looking a bit dodgy tomorrow, I wondered if there is a back up plan if this meeting is off. The first leg of the final is due to be staged on Wednesday!.
-
The crowd for this meeting last year was poor. With a dodgy weather forecast for Sunday, I can't see it improving.
-
Both eastbourne and oxford failed to win on the Isle of Wight despite fielding strong line ups. Not all meetings in the BLC were walkovers. For some clubs in this country the more meetings you run, the more money you lose. Whatever the new format, it's still going to be a financial gamble for all concerned.

Who Owns Their Own Stadiums

As a long standing fan that has witnessed racing at some of this country's all time greats such as west ham and Hyde road, the new belle vue is right up there with them. Speedway needs to flourish at the NSS for the benefit of the sport as a a whole. -
I must say since the rugby World Cup revamp, worky is a nice stadium to watch speedway. Far better than the dismal place of the early 80's when I first went there. Good luck comets fans in your fight for survival.

it was the same at rye house tonight. A lot of fast chasing with a couple of passes thrown in for good measure. That's modern speedway for you, at the majority of tracks in this country. -
I hope it's not too late for that.

I went to london v Scottish monarchs in 1996 which was abandoned due to a power failure. Also eastbourne v oxford in the early 90's which went the same way. Overall it's a very rare occurrence. -
A routine home win for the eagles tonight in front of a very good crowd. Too many passengers for the Kings to have any chance of causing an upset.
-
He did very well in the circumstances then.

Sounds great to me, but I couldn't convince my kids to go! -
Powell looked fit enough to me when winning the 500 final on the grass at frittenden last Sunday.

Surely one of the riders from the MDL play off could replace him! -
Especially as it's not even Eastbourne's regular race night.

Just coming to the tapes at the start of a new season is an achievement for the hammers, with the threat of redevelopment hanging over arena essex.

This event has turned into a farce and should be binned like the craven shield. It has never been the same since Hyde road shut.
