  1. It does the sports credibility no favours to have the league tables incomplete. That's why you need an outside body to enforce the fixtures are completed.
  2. A poor performance from the brummies tonight, especially the middle order. No wood for the eagles on Wednesday leaves the door ever so slightly open.
  3. Both the kent and eastbourne legs of the NL semi final pulled in excellent crowds.
  4. Will the storm complete their home fixtures this season.
  5. I don't agree with the play offs either, but eastbourne didn't make the rules. The brummies need some heat winners at Arlington, which is never easy for the away team.
  6. Here we are almost entering the last week of the season, with the league fixtures looking like they will not be completed. Leicester v Lynn has gone, coventry v stoke & rye and Lynn v eastbourne have not been rearranged. How can promoters want more meetings when they struggle to stage fixtures at the present level. Big gaps in the summer months and a mad rush in October, lead to this mess every season.
  7. 25/10/79 Wimbledon, 0 hackney, 5 (london cup) rained off after 1 heat.
  8. That's a good point. I can definitely see a strict curfew put in place if the new stadium is built. At kent they don't go one minute past cut off time.
  9. Using R/R for gary cottham is almost as bad as white city doing the same with dag lovaas in1977!
  10. With the cold and wet weather setting in, it will be a big ask to get the rosco arena built in time for next season.
  11. When I make the effort to travel to a meeting, I expect every attempt to be made to get the match on. At eastbourne last night I got that effort. Well done to both the track staff and the riders.
  12. At Eastbourne last night the track was waterlogged at 7.30. Less than an hour later with plenty of sawdust, the riders were at the tapes for Heat 1. It was nice to see some effort made to get the meeting on.
  13. Buster used to be the man for all weather seasons, wet or dry. What has changed.
  14. The NL riders certainly 'got on with it' at Eastbourne last night in horrendous conditions. In was like being back in the 1970's for me!
  15. Weather looks crap, so I won't be making the trip to watch buster scrape off the top surface. I got away with it at easbourne tonight, I don't like to push my luck too far!
  16. Crowds are not too bad on a Saturday at rye, but weekday meetings at hoddesdon are very poorly attended.
  17. You are correct it was a very good meeting. Unfortunately it didn't get the support it deserved.
  18. If rosco says it's gonna happen, that's good enough for me!!!
  19. I'd be surprised if eastbourne went PL, the crowds haven't been brilliant at Arlington this season. The punters never came in sufficient numbers for EL racing, the fan base just isn't there.
  20. No eagles home fixtures in August was bizarre to say the least.
  21. I think brum have earned the right to stage the 2nd leg of the play off final at home.
