  1. If I knew that I'd win the lottery this weekend!. It was nice to meet you last night sid, a fellow gooner that knows his speedway.
  2. Perhaps a bit of average manipulation by the robins in the latter heats!
  3. Just a normal night at the Abbey for me. A couple of decent races, the rest a one line procession. As you say, The same as at rye the night before!
  4. The line up was announced at rye last night, but I was too busy rabbiting to take any notice of it!
  5. I have to agree. It would take a minor miracle for the bees to get back into Brandon. It all seems like a cunning plan by several parties to make the stadium unfit for use. Who would have have guessed It!
  6. Peter craven, who died five years before I attended my first meeting.
  7. They always have plenty of back issues in the stadium office, try contacting the track.
  8. With the threat of the curfew I can never really relax watching meetings at Kent. Last night's shenanigans did remind me a bit of the division 2 days of the 1970's, when a punch up and some controversy were never too far away!
  9. I remember seeing Billy Sanders guesting for Wimbledon at kings Lynn, getting heckled on the victory parade truck. His response was to jump over the safety fence, sort out the individual and jump back on the truck. Billy was not a rider to mess with.
  10. Yet another night of chaos at central park. Multiple re runs and crashes all add to the Kent kings experience!
  11. After what seems an eternity since the last home meeting, rye house face belle vue this coming Wednesday. No harris or bjerre for this match, it seems there are always riders missing regardless of the race night. Why not do a king's lynn and call the whole thing off!
  12. Out of my interest range tony. My passion is London & South East tracks.
  13. I have them both Steve. The silver one is Gordon kennett's no.1, it don't get better than that does It!
  14. Living in the south east The vast majority of the tracks are in the NL. I've got used to watching most of my meetings at this level. Do I miss the top flight, if my visits to rye house This season are anything to go by, no I don't.
  15. I have reg luckhursts original 1974 race jacket in my collection. Apart from the all in one construction it also has Velcro side straps. It is also reversible with a different design on the inside. Why maido went to all this trouble to produce what must have been an expensive jacket to have made, who knows.
  16. The crowd wasn't too bad with a lot of kings fans in attendance. As for the EL snobs, I hope they're enjoying their monthly fix at the launch pad.
  17. Hope the blowers are locked away securely!
  18. I was there that night. It's hard to believe it was 38 years ago.
  19. Barry, you performed a minor miracle in bringing speedway back to the island. I thought it was gone forever at the end of 2013.
  20. Please let it be dry, I'm starting to get withdrawal symptoms!
  21. Just like Kent should have been given a bye in the cup when Eastbourne pulled the plug on a fine summers day last Saturday.
