He's been excellent, very unlucky to get the boot if true.

Len always sticks by his favourite riders. Always has, all the Years I've been going to speedway.
-
Fingers crossed the eagles have generators and medical cover this weekend.

Looking at the radar, the rain seems to have moved north of Brum. -
It seems like a lifetime ago shads. So much has changed rider wise at the launch pad. Unfortunately the 'stadium' hasn't changed at all.
-
With the demise of the raiders, storm and young stars. Belle vue are the only club running two teams. It would take a brave promoter to increase that number.
-
Especially if the TV money for domestic speedway runs out.
-
Uncle Len runs speedway every week at Kent, even if the kings are riding away. Love him or loathe him, he is the last of his kind.

28th August, just like lakeside in the last few seasons. Wimbledon ran 38 home meetings in 1980, and I went to them all!
-
The lack of home meetings is the biggest problem, not just for rye, but for every top flight track. When rye do get a run of fixtures, the football season will have started, which brings it's own problems for those of us that follow both sports.
-
Isn't it about time that the referees had total control of the meeting, instead of being dictated to by the promoters. This way meetings might start and finish on time, barring accidents.

am I bothered -
A poor meeting watched by a decent crowd. At least the rain that was forecast failed to arrive.
-
Add those to a dodgy weather forecast and the place should be packed out!
-
new cross never ran in 1955!!!
-
in the pre internet days it was a lot easier for promoters to hide weakened line ups from the fans. Unusually last Saturday I turned up at lakeside not knowing boxall was missing for plymouth!

very soft. I go to on average about three meetings a week, so I guess I'm a bigger mug than most. But old habits die hard! -

I go premiership football including last months FA cup final, and guess what, I was allowed to take food and drink in. Speedway is strictly small time time compared to those events, and needs every mug punter it can get. if you read my original post, I was referring to poole not the Isle of Wight. So stick that where the sun don't shine! -

hi Barry, sorry you have got the wrong end of the stick. Someone attending the meeting on Thursday told me fans were being stopped from taking food and drink into poole the night before. I have never been stopped from taking food into the island or poole for that matter. Any track that imposed that policy would receive less of my hard earned wonga! -
With so few meetings, I don't know how riders doing one league can make the sport pay. For a rider like kennett it must seem like little more than a hobby. I don't agree with his absence, but I don't blame him doing long track either.

Hopefully that's the case. I was at swindon last week and wasn't even searched. Kent is the only track I've been to this season that have checked my bag. -

Someone told me on the isle of Wight last night, that they were stopping people taking their own food and drink in at poole. If this is true, why upset what few fans the sport has left. Not everyone wants to eat junk food. -
I saw all of the above, but I never saw harrfeldt at his peak. Although he was pretty decent in his last season at Wembley.
-
It was a truly horrendous crash on the island last last night. One of those that makes you fear the worst. Kelsey and Liam were very lucky to walk away from the carnage.

White city and wembley's twin towers were never listed, and they were Olympic stadiums. Plough lane has deteriorated so much in the last decade, it never stood a chance.
