  1. I'd be happy with a return at any level next season. It certainly has been a struggle at lakeside for the last couple of years.
  2. The hammers lost money at EL level last season. With the risk of no TV money and the loss of a Friday race night, I can't see how top flight racing is viable at arena.
  3. Cookie said no NL next season, because lakeside are intending a return to the top flight. This will Depend on a satisfactory deal with the landlords. If the fixed race nights are Mondays and Thursdays. That means going up against Kent or being lumbered with a midweek slot, that was ditched by the hammers years ago!.
  4. 1980 Crayford 65 workington 12
  5. Crayford have been represented in fours and pairs events at central park.
  6. You can use a guest for any rider that doubles up.
  7. The last time I got an autograph for myself was at white city in 1977. I did get a few for my kids before they grew up and come to their senses.
  8. Three FA cups in four years just about make it bearable for me. When was the last time so called 'big clubs' like spurs or Everton last won a trophy.
  9. don't start me off on kroenke and Wenger, I've only just calmed down about it. That's what I like about speedway, being an ex Wimbledon fan I don't have any emotional attachment to the sport.
  10. Good meeting last night, before the rain came. There was some hard racing from both sides, on the edge at times!
  11. I totally agree. The track is the most important part of a promoters business, yet most choose to neglect it.
  12. I was a regular at Crayford from 1975 to 1983. It was a tricky little track with poor viewing facilities, but I still enjoyed going there. It was all under cover with decent food outlets. It had a train station right next door, with good rail links to and from London.
  13. I'm surprised how well lynn are doing. They were awful at rye last night.
  14. He had a nasty crash in heat 10 at rye last night. He never came out for his last ride.
  15. Martin also had five very successful years riding for Oxford, alongside wiggy and Nielsen.
  16. I've seen jack have decent meetings at Arlington, so he must be a two track wonder!
  17. A rye win at belle vue will be tough, but an away victory at lynn is a must.
  18. An excellent crowd at Kent yesterday, followed by another big one at rye. What a pleasure to go to two meetings that were really well attended.
  19. When I arrived at 19.20 there were 5 cars in the car park. I thought there was a chance it might get called off.
  20. It was announced tonight, that they will make an announcement tomorrow evening!!!
  21. Staging a meeting on possibly the busiest friday of the year was always a risk. Last night was just another 'day in the office' for speedway. I'm off to Eastbourne tonight for hopefully an incident free match!
  22. A poor meeting tonight, that was put out of its misery by the nasty looking heat 14 crash. With the surrounding areas gridlocked three hours before the start, the match was never going to begin on time. At one stage I thought it might be called off.
  23. Any news on the brummies future, any buyers in the pipeline?
