  1. Hurry and Boxall were competing in the frittenden flyer grass track meeting in kent yestetday. I'm surprised both riders were not in the NLRC.
  2. I wasn't there, so I can't comment on the quality of the racing. But it was farcical the amount of riders pulling out on the day of the event. It's Predictable, but nothing new.
  3. Lakeside already have a license to run top flight speedway. It was put on ice at the end of last season.
  4. it was only used on one part of the track at Brandon. I thought it was a strange idea at the time, but it worked!
  5. I remember seeing cement dust being used at coventry for the NL fours a few years ago!
  6. If you look through the history of the sport. The lower leagues have always been sacrificed to save the top flight.
  7. Relieved to beat the rain last night, but an expected result on the track. Not a heathens fan in sight, which must be a first.
  8. Don't forget to send cookie a postcard when you get to mars.
  9. Any news on the guest for the heathens to replace ayres.
  10. Belle vue are the last club to run two teams. I'd be surprised if that number increases. In most cases, more meetings means more losses.
  11. Birmingham must be a doubt as well. The rye house raiders ran at a loss, so I'd be surprised if they returned. I think the rye promotions policy is quality, not quantity of meetings.
  12. Weather forecast not looking brilliant tomorrow, early days though.
  13. I remember it well. Getting the tram to the stadium, Worrying about a rain off and being shocked at how cheap it was to get in!
  14. I feel the same way about custom house. I grieved as a child in 1972, and I'm still grieving now.
  15. The weather looks dodgy for the island this week, so it might be irrelevant.
  16. Totaĺly agree. Top placed side must pick lakeside. So it could be eagles v Kent all over again!
  17. Who is going to struggle with the M25 on a Friday night to watch NL at arena. I work in London, so it's easy for me to jump on the train, but I wouldn't attempt it by car. The rapid increase in traffic levels in the past few years have strangled the life out of the track.
  18. I was a Carter fan, when he wore an England race jacket!
  19. Nothing would suprise me with speedway. Look at how cookie withdrew the hammers from the cup, because of a lack of available dates!
  20. Arlington led a charmed life tonight. Big downpours everywhere, but the track. Kent are the team to avoid in the play offs. Whoever finishes top will probably pick lakeside with their long tail.
