  1. Kent definitely have the fan base and the facilities to move Up, but I can't see that happening with uncle Len running the show.
  2. How long is a piece of string. I know some hammers fans who have stopped going to speedway because of lakeside dropping down. Getting them to return could be difficult.
  3. So have I, but I fear we are in the minority.
  4. Up at Kent, rye house & on the IOW. Down at the other tracks I visit regularly.
  5. The brummies are running next season, that is the most important thing.
  6. It happened so fast I couldn't be sure. No doubt the ref was in the same boat.
  7. As a neutral I enjoyed last nights meeting. It was well run with some hard fought racing. On the downside, £21 including prog is far too expensive for the product on offer, multiple guests and double R/R was never going to pull in the punters.
  8. How can anyone criticise the fantastic season Sheffield have had, it's hard to believe.
  9. A decent meeting tonight on a well prepared track. The racing was better than last weeks play off final, but the crowd was pretty poor.
  10. it's a shame Eddie Waring isn't still alive to commentate on it!
  11. No suprise, these type of meetings are always a marathon.
  12. A poor meeting for the neutrals last night. Bowen's crash in heat one set the tone for the rest of the match. The eagles were up for it and the kings seemed flat. A total contrast to the league match at Arlington a few weeks ago.
  13. Jon cook's attitude to the NL is a lot poorer.
  14. Too right, most tracks shut their doors as quickly as possible to minimalise their losses.
  15. It's going to be a minefield, whatever league lakeside ride in.
  16. I have to agree. The IOW is a big fast track, yet I don't see many away riders struggling there.
  17. The way I see it is, the play offs take priority over all other meetings. Last Friday's premier play off got the nod over the NL version at lakeside. Tonight's NL second leg takes priority over the KOC. Ben hopwood is riding for Kent at eastie tomorrow instead of Newcastle. I can't see any other reason for the NL getting first call on the riders.
  18. don't the play offs take priority over other fixtures. All the belle vue and lakeside double uppers are riding at the NSS tomorrow.
  19. Let's hope the weather behaves itself. Yet another Saturday with rain in the forecast!
  20. Enjoying yourself in the frozen north shads?
  21. I was being sarcastic Rob. If you read through the whole thread, you will see my views on the chances of the rosco arena ever being built.
  22. There are some cynical fans on this forum!!!
