Lakeside host Peterborough at home in the ko cup on 29/9. I presume this meeting will be staged at Arena Essex, unless someone knows something I don't.

Fixed race nights... early indications!!!

I think the promoters at rye House ruffled some feathers at the old Boys club, so they were never going to get any favours. -
Meaningful Second Halves anyone?

Last night at Kent, the first ten heats where run in 37 minutes!. I know they got a move on to accommodate the Ben fund collection, but it shows what can be done. -

Some of the racing last night was fantastic, considering the track was a 'disgrace' -

Excellent meeting tonight with some fantastic racing. The clashes between hurry and shanes were superb. -

Spooner not fully fit, I fancy the brummies to nick a point. Bacon and shanes are usually excellent at central park. -

Decent point for Somerset. -

Me too, and my first visit was in 1972. My mate who lives locally to the track told me, that stock car meetings regularly go past 10pm. -

There will be a big crowd there tonight, so get there early. Last week's attendance against Plymouth was excellent for NL racing. -

From a personal point of view, I've never liked 2nd halves. I used to watch them as a kid at Wembley and Wimbledon, but I found them boring. I'd like speedway to be like football, done and dusted in 90 minutes. -

Just Kent now. The IOW match has been put back a couple of weeks. -

Georgie Wood is a very lucky boy to escape without any serious injuries. His heat 15 crash with Danny Ayres was a real nasty one. It was mentioned at the time of the incident, that Eastie had a curfew. Is this a new ruling, because i've seen plenty of meetings go past 10pm there in the past. -

Rye House is an unlicensed track. Until that changes, I can't see how any professional Speedway meetings can be staged there. -

I was at Eastbourne tonight where an awful crash during heat 15 led to another meeting abandoned. Best wishes to both Dan Bewley and Georgie Wood. -

It's hard to argue with that. I attended my first meeting as a wee lad at Wimbledon in September 1968, so I am fast approaching my 50th anniversary as a fan. There have been highs and lows throughout this period, but this season, without a doubt, has been the worst ever for me. -

The promoters can say the meeting is on, but the final decision is with the riders. For that reason I never intended to hand over the money until the two minute warning went on. With such a fragmented And unreliable fixture list, who knows when the next home meeting will be. Rob Godfrey might have a BBQ planned for the 14th, so that one might be binned as well. -

I will always take a chance with local tracks in dodgy weather, but last night was never going to be on, despite what the club said. Modern technology is a wonderful thing. I can see the live rainfall radar, why can't they. -

To open the turnstiles when the meeting is in doubt, is bad enough. To then send the kids out to test the track, while the senior riders stay in the pits is a disgrace. To try and get the last two home meetings on, despite dreadful forecasts, has done more damage to the club, who seem determined not to race on off nights. -

With the next home league match scheduled for the 14/9. It looks like 2 home fixtures won't get run before the cut off date. What a shambles of a season this is. I can't remember a worse one. -

Should have pulled the plug earlier. Apparently the 'senior' riders had no intention of riding. I stayed outside waiting for the inevitable, ive seen it all before. Plenty of people demanding their money back afterwards. -

Let's hope so. It's getting increasingly difficult to find any speedway to watch in the South East. At least Len still stages regular meetings at Kent.
