Hi f-s-p, you appear to be in the know on what to do in Tampere. I fly in from Malaga on Friday lunchtime and fly back on Monday lunchtime. Any ideas on what to do, or should I say, suggestions on where to drink during our stay :-)

There is a mention of it being in Vojens on Sunday 3rd August (Unconfirmed on www.zapaday.com) I really hope not as I went to the GP Qualifying Final Event a few years ago and it is in the middle of nowhere. 2 hours from Copenhagen, 2 hours from Hamburg

Well.............. Team GB without Steady is not so amazing !!! Was Middlo backed into a corner because of riders available at the British Final? From an outsiders point of view, let's compare the GB Team to football players.... 1. Harris - Steven Gerrard (Every club wants him) 2. Barker - Shows promise. (Plays for Stockport but looking for a move to a top 4 club Premiership club) 3. Bridger - (Flatters to deceive !!!) Tottenham 4. Kennett - Good season but still not good enough (Blackpool) 5. Woffinden - Quality recognised, better expected. (Liverpool) This post is a bit of fun. Gutted GB couldn't make it tonight !!!

From where I was sat it looked as if he got stuffed on the 1st bend and that was that. Although he looked very classy in front, there wasn't much passing during the meeting which would explain why he stayed at the back.

On the Friday night before last year's GP another young rider would have been thrown out of Walkabout had the bouncers seen him tipping lager on the people below from the balcony. Not this year though, I am sure he will have been tucked up as he was riding in the main event !!!!! lol

Not stayed there before but have been told by a friend from Cardiff that it is a good hotel to be in and only 5 minutes by cab from City Centre. There are also bars restaurants etc down in the Bay where the hotel is. It is £78 per night per room based on 2 people sharing. The room can sleep up to 4 people with a supplement of £15 per person per night. If there are 4 of you, works out at £27 each per night, not bad eh ?!!

I booked the other week at the Future Inn, Cardiff Bay. They took my card details but no deposit or payment is due and I can cancel should I need to up to 1 day before. Their website www.futureinns.co.uk , not sure about availability now.

I completely agree Genesis, how many times did a GB rider make the gate and then was easily picked off by the other riders ?!!! Stead for one made the gate against AJ and NP, but when he got to turn two the G-force forcing him backwards was too much !!!!!
