still watching Alan R Horne not a bad rider after all!!!!!

Alan R Horne you watching?

I apologise for what appears for my addition to the previous post I was trying to identify who this Alan R Horne is and to answer his stupid post about Chris Harris. There has been support from other clubs for Chris and showing their support. He is a born racer who has provided superb Speedway to many people in this country and abroad. Horne's post was pathetic and should be treated so accordingly by genuine supporters. What I was trying to suggest he might like to pop his head over the parapet to identify which team he shows his loyalty to and his what brought about this attack on Bomber.
-
What I would ask is this p.....t from and who does he support?. His post is disgraceful perhaps he can't see every week the tremendous effort and harum sacrum moves he makes to entertain his supporters. This post is a disgrace to decent speedway supporters. As a mature speedway supporter of Coventry I would love to know who is his favourite rider who risks his life every time he gets on a bike like all of them do whatever their age/experience. This mans post is a disgrace. I would hazard a guess who he supports!!

The more I read the posts on this forum the more I despair. We are losing our beloved Speedway team and the history of speedway in Coventry who were leaders in the name of this sport. Where do we finish up three pages arguing about pensioners and varied examples of rubbish being posted. I find it unbelievable in the circumstances. I have been banging the drum in the last few weeks about lack of publicity, no petitions, no press coverage about our fate. We are now two and a half months away from our last meeting and the finality of the sport in Coventry. We should be united not backbiting sorry I still say we are withering away to a slow death with little apparent fight from Coventry supporters. At least other tracks went out fighting Craslet Heath, Oxford, Reading etc.
-
As you are aware have been banging the drum some 6 weeks advocating this petitions there should be active petitions to be signed by local residents in city, towns and villages. Also we should be aware the Bees are known as Coventry Bees, with this in mind there should also be activities in Coventry. Sorry I feel this positive action is a bit belated but now there is activity it should be 100 percent, approaches to local. Haines to provide banners etc to. Bring publicity to what's going on at Brandon and fears for the future. We should have had this action in force for the Sky coverage of Wolverhampton match, we should be looking forward towards next televised match (if there is one)! We need to get this publicity going with speed.

Next year? Got to be joking we are dying a slow death. Poor team, poor presentation, loudspeakers that don't work (1st bend) . Poole meeting "jobsworth" arrived 7.20 pm while Bees fans were watching with children the team preparing for the meeting. We were cleared from the bridge overlooking the Bees pits. Elf and safety was quoted. Later Mr Watson on this site said it was a gangway to allow egress from the stand, he blamed it on the Stadium staff, Mr Heaver I suppose. We arrive on Monday elf and safety has apparently been withdrawn we are again allowed on the bridge!!. Consistent Hey. As far as Save our Speedway stadium is concerned there has been no petition at the stadium, no banners, nothing that would indicate that we are in our last season and in imminent danger of going out of business after our projected last meeting in the middle of August! Yes 3 months away. I think it's time all the genuine supporters realise that this great sport in Coventry is another example following demise of Coventry City FC and Coventry RFC from the top level of their respective sports. I.e 3rd division football and semi professional rugby. There is othing in the stadium that is displayed showing our dire situation. The ideal would be next Monday on Sky although there will not be many there.I haven't missed a Bees meeting in the last 11 years I shall stay at home and watch Sky. ( the only aspect of speedway left on TV) without signing up for BT. Mist other tracks charge £10 if on Sky not Coventry. RanT over!!!!!!!!!

Horton had the option in the winter one of our best heat leaders wasn't contacted Kylmankorpi wanted to be sorted so he signed for Wolves
-
Tried to find out is match on seems they have packed up the Bees official site?

What utter rubbish appears on this forum. Rory Schlein has another serious injury and the forum resorts to spelling and grammar lessons. Why not stick to speedway? Just read two pages utter rubbish. It's a speedway site!

Bspa Warning About Live Streaming
abbo replied to robert72's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Only comment if Sky had the monopoly on Speedway which it used to have it would be different. Now we have to add to the cost if Speedway viewing to include BT Sport for GP's and World Cupt. That is to add to Coventry's contraversial decision to be the ONLY club in the UK to cease any allowance for elderly fans, shame on them! -
Headmaster's going to be busy Monday. Beginning to wonder at 79 whether to pay full price for Monday's meeting. This is a shambles perhaps Mr Watson might have some input into the current situation. To change subject we are in our last season at Brandon where are the banners suggesting "save our Speedway" we are heading rapidly into the end of Coventry Bees without even a whimper. Close the stadium NO application for housing etc. Close stadium leave it 2/3 years then apply for housing NO NEED then to provide a new motor sports stadium. Am I on the mark? or WHAT!

the so called quote by Professor Johnson of IFS was published in the Guardian I guess this is where our friend Nr Watson cribbed it from. Statistics can be made to reach whatever you want to prove or disprove. Ask the right questions to get your desired answer, pick the area where you want I've posh or poor you will get different answered. Brandon did No Homework at the Stadium before they made a decision on OAP's I had a go at Brandon club to Mr Horton only club in Speedway to do away with pensioners concessions will come back to bite their backside if it hasn't done so by now. We now have trouble with Students and so it goes on!
-
To go back to cost etc of season tickets last season I paid about £390 for myself (used to be a concession) and adult son. This year £500 difference programmes last year not included.i would put this to Messers Horton and Watson. If a family of four with season tickets arrive they have an excess of programmes £10's worth why is it assumed that every member of a group need a programme each. I now that when we paid for programmes in the past we shared one and the other was given away. Surely season ticket holders should be given the choice when renewing at start of season. The cost of the tickets adds (bearing in mind 15 meetings the minimum) £37.50 to each season ticket. Season tickets should be the cost of entrance to the Stadium and NOT enforced on spectators perhaps Mr Watson would like to reply to this point the cost of my season tickets this season risen OVER £100 that's why at this stage I don't think I will be renewing!!!!!

Tonight I have read all the posts about prices Mae up of team etc. I am a supporter of Mick Horton in the problems he has with the track and the future for Coventry Speedway. As a pensioner I am surprised at the actions in pricing but don't wish to enter the silly comments about pensioners that have already been aired. I find the comments of Neil Watson as arrogant and an insult to the older supporters of the Bees. If the pensioners vote with their feet the loser will be Coventry Speedway, especially when reading the comment made to Dave Jones. I have purchased 2 season tickets every season and never missed a match at Brandon for the last 10 years this sadly will change in 2016. The season tickets are based on 15 meetings Yes I know we might get more) the advantage of a season ticket is supposed to provide the holder with a benefit if you delete the cost of a programme (not everyone want's one) the saving based on the 15 meetings is £5. If you miss one though sickness bang goes that saving. In previous years people have been invited to pay over 3 months not this year, complete your application form and send your money!. I agree that the Elite League lacks the pull of the best riders in the World like it it was until 6/7 years ago. Sorry Mick I think you have lost two of your loyal season ticket holders. Just to finish if you are an armchair Speedway supporter you now have to pay a heavy sum for your Sky Sports plus BT sport to watch the other part of of our great sport.

Just read Mick Horton's summary of events over the last two days if you haven't then read if. He gives you the full information regard the antics of all involved with the actions of the Poole management. Well done Mick Horton, shame on you Poole there's an old saying cheats never prosper, let's hope this comes true tomorrow!!

This Orion guy What planet is he on how did Garrity get a Doctors note on a Sunday, he could only hobble after the meeting at least we have a genuine reason, sorry Poole have done it again worked the proverbial flanker. I have spent the last two days wondering what they would do yes replaced the only none scorer for Poole on Friday night. I know nothing of Dakotas situation but I feel they have stretched this injury or Doctors note to the full and this is 2015's fiddle by Poole how on earth do the authorities allow them to get away with it only describe it as unblelievable then again it's ghost crazy sport with crazy administrators that allow it.

Postpone it for 2 weeks, a bit more rain the meeting will be held on Christmas Day, what a shambles as a matter of interest is the other semi final also on Friday next nothing on Swindon website. To call a match off 48 hours before is unheard of certain,y in Charles Ochiltree's days.
