  1. I couldn't see fully from where I was stood to be honest, but seemed similar to the first start, I don't think there is a rule on the number of all four backs you can have. Trying to keep all 4 in a race especially on the first bend should always be the target. There was definitely not enough in it to exclude anyone.
  2. Lots a posts on here predicting a comfortable Aces loss have disappeared lol.
  3. Why was he lucky, that's nonsense, he did nothing wrong.
  4. First away meeting of the season for me tonight, looking forward to it. Going to be tough without Bewley.
  5. Yes he was superb, even in the race he came last against Magic and Tungate, he was on the pace and caused them both some problems.
  6. Excellent meeting that, with a cracking heat 15.
  7. I think the rule is unfair on riders, clubs can sack a rider when ever they want and don't have to pay them a single penny for missed meetings, but if a rider decides he no longer wants to ride for a team he's blocked from going anywhere else. Give them a years contract guaranteed that solves the problem.
  8. That's nonsense, they decided they were prepared to do it, our owners have deep pockets, they can choose to spend there money anyway they want.
  9. Speedway in Manchester isn't affecting hotel prices for 7k capacity event, the city is too big for that. Cardiff is losing out due to high cost and poor product, and the fact it's on every year. There is no a doubt a 1 off GP would sellout at the NSS at last night's prices. The NSS wouldn't have a GP every year but they could say every 4 years and sell out.
  10. Yes it's possible to stand anywhere once you are in the South stand so there is always more stood in S2 than S4. Great maths pal, but if you make that stand £5.00 per ticket then nobody is paying the £65.00 for the sold out South stand or £85 to £105 for almost sold out Grand Stand. They made around £300k (34k ISH from east stand) from last night so your plan would be financial suicide. Also you are not selling out that stand for the semi finals or SON2 regardless of the price.
  11. In 2015 the stand was temporary and was going to be replaced at the end of the year, but due to the big financial issues of the then owners they couldn't afford to do it. So when the council took over the stadium they agreed with the new Aces owners to cover the cost of fitting the terracing, but the new terracing was smaller due to costs. I believe it's now around 1.4k and the original was around 2.5k to 3k capacity.
  12. Discovery don't want other tracks hosting it I'm afraid, and the temp stand was a discovery no option request. It wasn't needed but Belle Vue had no choice.
  13. Nonsense he spoke to my son and happily took a picture with him.
  14. No Poland have most meetings behind a pay wall, but they have the fans who will pay it.
  15. Back straight sold out can't sell anymore that sold out.
  16. That was Average mate, some over £100 in the grandstand, cheapest being £95. Some can't grasp basic maths, at £30 a ticket a sell out would have made less money. The only issue I had was kids tickets should of been cheaper.
  17. Or Steve you could check your facts, it was sold out and there was the same amount of tickets on sale as ever league meeting. Secondly I was there you couldn't move it was so full, that beats your opinion of a view on TV. The Grandstand is smaller than 2016 so it's bound to have less, that was temporary standing that was taken out at the end of that year, and when permanent standing put back in it was smaller to reduce costs due to the well documented financial issues that the club had at the time. I can guarantee you there was more in that stand than 2016, sometimes you have accept the views of other people especially if they were there and you weren't.
  18. Stop the bollocks Steve, you weren't there the back straight was full, it was sold out that's a fact. I was there you couldn't move it was packed, why make things up?
  19. Don't worry about the weather, forecast is dry all night, it's perfect Speedway weather.
  20. I don't think the 4 meetings make a difference mate, Im only going tonight, so no reason to stop others only going tonight, it's definitely the prices. That said around 3.4k sold for tonight as of yesterday, so at these prices it is like a gate of about 12k for a normal league match with everyone paying the £24 adult price.
  21. Yes never thought of that. So it definitely wasn't needed then. Ridiculous really.
  22. Only about 500 sold in that stand seems to have gone down from yesterday, so it must have been wrong. The crowd is around 3.4k as of this afternoon, at minimum of £65 that's a lot of money, but do wonder whether we actually need the temporary stand. The stadium can hold around 3.4k without it.
  23. Upgrade? I wont be swapping my back straight ticket to sit there, the South Stand is by far the best place to watch from at the NSS. I sat in that East Stand for the world cup and it's nowhere near as good as the South Stand .
