  1. Been raining steadly all morning in north manchester so no way practice would have happened. Putting Saturday aside which to me was a cock up by belle vue, the issues with this fridays meeting are not. The three promotions in question should not have reported it was off until belle vue did, so they simply we are all at fault. Speedway needs to work together and it should be a rule where the home team must announce any postponement first. The facts are and these are facts up until late yesterday afternoon the meeting was still on. The WHOLE of speedway needs to wake up and realise they need to work together. As for the world cup, firstly the track will be perfect by then, the issue is only minor, its the way saturday was handled thats made it a big issue. The contracters were at fault they've found and rectified the problem, the track now just needs a good testing. Also ticket sales have been excellent so no way BSI will want to refund those.
  2. G Great news phil. If we can just get this meeting on successfully then we can all move on.
  3. Correct. No wolves or belle vue fan is being forced into waiting, if you dont want to then simply change your plans now and dont go.
  4. A days notice is plenty of time, what about rain offs? ? If you dont want to wait then simply don't go and arrange your Friday.
  5. For me it will be off, but the FACTS are it isnt off yet, the decision will be tomorrow as per the press release.
  6. You do realise the bspa statement came first, they hung Belle vue out to dry long before they had there say.
  7. Why would he unless he owned his own stadium that could lose big meetings. Oh hang on
  8. No because the BSPA need Belle vue in the league, plus if that happened belle vue would be gone, which would be a massive disaster for speedway. They wont get the final, it's only in UK because of the new stadium, otherwise it would be abroad. The track will be fine long before the world cup.
  9. Yes it is ignorent to suggest that. Facts are the stadium completion was behind, happens a lot in construction. The issue and only issue for Belle Vue was that they didnt postpone the meeting earlier knowing delays to the build had effected bends 3 and 4 from settling properly
  10. It wont be run Steve, can't see it, just too risky. I think our meeting on 8th april v Leicester likley to be first meeting. It wont be run Steve, can't see it, just too risky. I think our meeting on 8th april v Leicester likley to be first meeting.
  11. Why is it a blow. Its the sensible thing to do, yesterday was a big blow, delaying 2 meetings at the start of the season isnt a problem at all. Another farce like last night would be a disaster.
  12. Nothing to do with track prep. Simply yhe delay in stadium build meant that bends 3 and 4 not had enough time to settle. The track will be fine once bedded in. The error was simply not calling this off yesterday when practice showed it wasnt ready. Nothing to do with track prep. 13. Gutted about tonight, the stadium is awesome and the sound of bikes due to the stadium design was awesome. The onky issue is the lack of time the track has had to settle, it wasnt down to anything but lack of time. So the big error was quite clearly not calling this off yesterday. Its a massive lack of judgement to let this happen, a call of yesterday would not of been the disaster today was. The big question now is how long does the track need, is good Friday still to early, the promotion can come back from this but cant afford Friday to be the same. If friday is in doubt call it off now and get it ready from the sky match on the 30th. Gutted about tonight, the stadium is awesome and the sound of bikes due to the stadium design was awesome. 14. Cook wants to stay at Belle Vue. So be surprised if he wasnt.
  15. Well where to start. Firstly congratulations to Poole on your win it was a great final. As for the Aces I'm so proud of everyone one of them, the fight and passion for our club was immense, I'm absolutely gutted to lose by 2 points, but we can take so much from this season into next year at the new stadium. Depending on rules of course but I'd happily see the same 7 riders back next year. Another winner was Speedway it's self, I went both legs of the final and they were amazing, the racing was great, the meetings were close and the atmosphere at both tracks was electric. I am absolutely shattered today and can hardly speak from all the Cheering and booing of course (which was nothing more than good banter). I thought the Poole riders took the banter well and gave it back in good humore, and a sovienere of some Kyle Newman Googles for a guy stood next to me, again taken as good banter Was also good to meet Lisa-colette. Anyway looking forward to our new beginning next season at our new stadium and hopefully another crack at the play off final.
  16. Well highly unlikely that we will win it now, but I'm proud of the fight back. It's been a great year at Belle Vue and the club is going in the right direction and has a real positive vibe about it. Zagar and Cooke were awesome tonight. Doubt a draw is enough but it's something to cling too on our journey to Poole.
  17. Great away win for the Aces. Delighted to be in the final, it's going to be tough v Poole but we will give it our all. Commiserations to Swindon.
  18. He's not fit to ride. So under current rules the Aces have replaced him.
  19. Both riders are similar ability when fit. Should we have Zagar ride when not fit what a stupid sport that would be. He's not fit so we have replaced within the rules.
  20. You think he would give up on 15k if he was fit lol. This is speedway not premier league football
