  1. Have you tried contacting Pete Ballinger at Clean Cut Sports?
  2. I've got other commitments on Thursday evening which I'd already agreed to do before we arranged the match at Sheffield, unfortunately.
  3. I'm still after this programme to complete my yearly collection. If anyone has got a copy that they'd be willing to sell or knows someone that has, then please get in touch.
  4. Thanks for your replies. I've recently had feedback from two different people stating that they have got this programme and one of them has had spare copies, so the programme does exist, although it appears to be very rare.
  5. I'm after the programme from the Reading Racers vs. Cradley Heathens match from 22nd April 1996 which was postponed early afternoon on the day. A programme was printed for this meeting but it was never used. I require this programme to complete my Cradley collection from that season so if anyone has got a copy of this programme that they'd be willing to sell, then please get in touch.

  7. DUDLEY Heathens aim to continue their push for the National League play-offs when they face Isle of Wight Islanders at their adopted Monmore Green home on Tuesday (7.30). The former Cradley club pulled off a fabulous 48-42 win over the Hawks at Lakeside on Friday and they are looking to make home advantage count in their latest National League outing. Boss Will Pottinger is, however, warning his side they can’t be complacent against a solid Hackney outfit who include ex-Heathen Barrie Evans. He said: “Barrie did well as a guest for us earlier in the season and he will be up for this. “Just because we won on Friday it doesn’t automatically mean we are going to win our home meeting easily, we will have to work hard and we need the fans to get behind us. “But the target is very much all three points on offer. We are making steady progress and just need to keep it going.” Admission is £10 adults, £6 concessions and £2 children. A full colour souvenir programme is available for £2. Fans should also not a full colour A3 Heathens poster has been printed and is available FREE from the HSSC track shop and speedway office. And the meeting has an added twist as Belle Vue include Jason Garrity, who was a thorn in Dudley’s side when riding for Buxton last season. Said Pottinger: “This is a massive meeting for us and we will all need to be on form to get a good lead for the second leg. “It’s so good to have Belle Vue in the league and as soon as we drew them in the cup our fans wanted to know the dates. “We welcome Kyle and Danny and I’m sure the supporters will gave them a big, traditional Heathens welcome on the parade. “We need to keep Jason Garrity quiet but that won’t be easy as he’s at reserve and can take seven rides. 11. DUDLEY Heathens are on a revenge mission when they chase the first National League silverware of the season against Buxton at their adopted Wolverhampton home on Tuesday (7.30). The former Cradley club face the Hitmen, who denied them a league and cup double last season, in the first leg of the National Shield with the return in Derbyshire this Sunday. Boss Will Pottinger is looking for a handy first leg lead from the Monmore meeting to take to the Hi Edge Raceway for the second leg. He said: “Buxton had a fantastic season last year and thoroughly deserved their success, even though it was at our expense! “This is our chance to hit back and we will be looking for revenge. We need a good lead from our home leg and hopefully we can achieve that on Tuesday. “And we hope our brilliant supporters will turn out in force to get behind us. The new lads were amazed by our support last week and at Mildenhall on Sunday, it makes a massive difference.” Heathens have included Hackney’s Barrie Evans as a guest replacement for the injured Jon Armstrong who is hoping to be ready to return on Sunday. Buxton include former Heathen Ben Taylor who was so unlucky last season when he sustained a wrist injury in his first race of the historic opening meeting at Birmingham and missed the rest of the season. 12. DUDLEY Heathens launch a new season of racing at their temporary Wolverhampton home with a revenge mission against the USA Tourists on Tuesday (7.30). The former Cradley club, who have trebled their season ticket sales after only one season back in the sport, are expecting a bumper crowd to see the battle for the Travel Plus Trophy. Adam Roynon, Luke Chessell and Darryl Ritchings will get their first experience of riding for the Heathens in front of their home fans. Dudley are looking to gain revenge after their defeat by the Tourists on their opening night last season. Boss Will Pottinger said: “It’s a big night for us all and this is the night we have all been waiting for through the long, dark winter months. “It’s a chance for us to lift the Travel Plus Trophy and we’re determined to do it in front of our own supporters, especially after they beat us last season.” The tourists include ‘Uncle’ Doug Nicol, who was based in Cradley during his British career with Middlesbrough. 13. DUDLEY Heathens will warm up for their big season launch night when they go to Stoke in a Challenge match on Saturday (7.30). The former Cradley club face the USA tourists at their adopted Wolverhampton home next Tuesday, April 12, with a bumper crowd expected. But they will also enjoy plenty of support at Loomer Road when they hand a debut to new signings Adam Roynon and Luke Chessell. Boss Will Pottinger said: “It will be a nice workout for the lads and a good way to prepare for the USA match on Tuesday. “We’re desperate to beat the tourists after they turned us over last season so any preparation we can have for that meeting will help. “We will be looking for a good performance at Stoke and I’m sure the lads will enjoy plenty of support.” The meeting will revive memories of 1996 when Cradley used the Loomer Road track as their adopted home following the closure of Dudley Wood Stadium. 14. HEATHENS hero Tom Perry has finalised his new deal to ride for the club for a second successive season. Perry, 17, was rider-of-the-year last season, his first as a speedway rider after making a sensational switch from Grass track racing. Now he is aiming to take his career up another level after pledging his future to the former Cradley club just a few days before his 18th birthday (February 22). He will sign a full professional contract with the club at that time. The deal has been made possible with the help of former Cradley riders Mark Robinson and Anthony Boyd who have come to the rescue with transport arrangements for the youngster. Said Perry: "I'm determined to make a career out of Speedway and feel I made a good, solid start last season. "People tell me I need to improve my starting which is fair enough, but I don't think the management want me to because they like the entertainment factor when I have to race from the back! "The support was amazing last season and I'm pleased to be back. The team is looking good and I would like to thank all the people who are helping me out and all those who have made it possible so far for me to ride Speedway. And what a great club to ride for!" Perry joins skipper Jon Armstrong, Adam Roynon, Ashley Morris and Darryl Ritchings in the starting line-up and the club, who will ride all their home meetings at Wolverhampton next season, have also agreed deals with two more riders who will be announced later this month to complete the line-up. c/o www.dudleyheathens.co
  15. DUDLEY Heathens have promoted teenager Darryl Ritchings into their starting line-up for the new season. Ritchings, 16, spent last season patiently waiting for his chance as the team's stand-by rider but was also hit by injury and bike problems. Now he's been handed a full 2011 team spot and will start the campaign in one of the vital reserve spots on a 3-point average. He joins skipper Jon Armstrong, big winter signing Adam Roynon and Ashley Morris in the side - and fans' favourite Tom Perry should be confirmed soon. Said Darryl: " I can't wait for the season to start, I'm really looking forward to joining the Heathens again this season as last year I was No. 8. "The amount of support the team recieved when I competed in two meetings was awesome, plus the more meetings I watched the support grew. "I Just hope I can score some points to help the heathens grab some silverware!" c/o www.dudleyheathens.co
  16. Armo's starting average will be 8.61.
  17. Just to clarify, Adam did finish on a PL average of 3.95 last season but with a 5% reduction that all British riders receive for team building, he'll start the 2011 PL season on a 3.85 average. When doubled for a National League average, this is of course 7.70.
  18. Not this year. The NL AGM has been brought forward from January to early December.
  19. I very much doubt that. At the speedway forum last night, Tony Mole indicated that the team manager would be experienced. Read into that what you like.
  20. c/o www.dudleyspeedway.com JAMES Sarjeant returns to Dudley's side for tonight's Staffordshire Cup tie at Stoke (7.30). The Yorkshire youngster has jumped at the chance to return to the former Cradley club as a replacement for the ill Darryl Ritchings. Sarjeant lost his place with the Heathens in the summer when they brought in Aussie ace Micky Dyer and now rides for Bournemouth. Heathens boss Will Pottinger said: "Sarj jumped at the chance when I asked him and it will be nice to see him back in Heathens colours. It shows to everyone there are no hard feelings between us and we still think very highly of him."
  21. c/o www.dudleyspeedway.com DUDLEY have named their side for the one-off Staffordshire Cup tie at Stoke on Saturday (7.30). The former Cradley club are without Tom Perry due to a fractured wrist, Ashley Morris is riding for his Premier League club Edinburgh and Aussie duo Jake Anderson and Micky Dyer have sent their equipment home for the winter. But Heathens boss Will Pottinger has come up trumps with replacements by drafting in squad member Darryl Ritchings to partner Richard Franklin at reserve. Luke Priest, Jack Hargreaves and Robert Branford have been drafted in as cover for Dudley's last outing of this remarkable season. There will be no return leg due to the unavailability of riders and venues. Boss Pottinger said: "This is the last chance for our fans to see the boys in action and we'd love to go up there and win a trophy." Stoke's Loomer Road track was the temporary home of the Heathens when they lost their Dudley Wood home in 1996. And it will be a night of mixed emotions for Dudley skipper Lee Smart who has doubled-up with Stoke's Premier League team this season - and won their rider of the year award! STOKE: Ashley Birks, Tony Atkin, Steve Worrall, Gary Irving, Richie Worrall, Jaimie Pickard. HEATHENS: Lee Smart, Luke Priest, Jack Hargreaves, Robert Branford, Barrie Evans, James Sarjeant, Richard Franklin.
  22. HUGELY popular Dudley Heathens Speedway duo Tom Perry and Micky Dyer will mix with the fans at Tuesdays Staffordshire Cup tie with Stoke at Wolverhamptons Monmore Green Stadium (7.30). The pair have been ruled out of the meeting but both will be in the pits to help their colleagues in the first leg tie with the return at Loomer Road on Saturday. Its the last home meeting of the season for the success story of British racing. The former Cradley club have pulled in a massive following with the ultimate aim of finding land for a new stadium in the Dudley area. All accompanied children aged 15 and under will be admitted free of charge, season tickets are valid and fans buying a souvenir programme will be handed a free Heathens team poster. Perry and Dyer will make a personal appearance at the track shop during the interval to personally sign copies of the poster and any merchandise purchased from the shop. Said Perry: Im gutted I cant ride and the wrist is throbbing, but perhaps not as bad as first thought. Its my left hand so I can sign autographs with my right, no problem, and Micky and me look forward to catching up with the fans. The full Heathens line-up will also saw their 2010 farewell speeches at the end of the meeting. Boss Will Pottinger said: Its been an amazing season and we look forward to a night of celebration on Tuesday. We are top of the National League, and we reached the semi-finals of the play-offs and Knockout Cup thats beyond all our expectations. We look forward to welcoming all our fans and no doubt a few Stoke fans will make the trip down the M6. Stoke include Great Britain international Adam Roynon in the number one position and he is sure to be the man to beat. Heathens have named number eight rider Daryl Ritchings at reserve and Buxtons Rob Branford deputises in the main body of the team as a guest. HEATHENS: Lee Smart, Richard Franklin, Robert Branford, Jake Anderson, Barrie Evans, Ashley Morris, Darryl Ritchings. STOKE: Adam Roynon, Lewis Kerr, Ashley Birks, Steve Worrall, Darren Mallett, Richie Worrall, Jaimie Pickard.
  23. SPEEDWAY success story Dudley Heathens continue their bid for a fairytale league and cup double when Buxton Hitmen visit Monmore Green on Tuesday (7.30). It’s the first leg of the National League Play-off semi-final with the return in Derbyshire set for Sunday, October 17. The former Cradley club, who are backed in big number by new and older fans alike, are looking for a handy first leg lead as they bid to reach the Grand Final in their first season. Manager Will Pottinger said: “This will be a tough meeting because everyone remembers when Buxton came here in the Cup three weeks ago and turned us over. “We were poor that night, we had three or four riders off the pace and I would like to think it was nothing more than a blip. “Now we need the backing of our brilliant fans to come along and roar us to what we hope will be a good first leg victory. Buxton are fast at the start so we need to combat that threat.” Heathens are at full strength for what is their biggest meeting of the season so far. The sides meet again on successive Sundays at Buxton with the return leg of the KOC set for this Sunday, October 10. DUDLEY: Lee Smart, Micky Dyer, Tom Perry, Jake Anderson, Barrie Evans, Ashley Morris, Richard Franklin. BUXTON: Craig Cook, Jonathan Bethell R/R, Robert Branford, Adam Allott, Nick Morris, Lewis Dallaway, Jason Garrity.
