Terrace talk last night suggested Jacob Thorssell would miss Kings Lynn at home on May 1st. This is supported on the European Championship forum pages that Swedish authorities have nominated him for a qualifier in Hungary on that day! I presume no guest cover is allowed? Should this fixture be rearranged and let the squatters run at 7:30pm that night instead of the double header at 6pm?

Last nights Wolves programme was suggesting 12 noon as the start time!
-
Whats the start time?

In a byegone age age I remember going to watch Wolves getting 'tonked' at The Shay, Halifax. After the meeting six of the seven Wolves riders plus the team manager came to socialise with the fans in 'The Three Pigeons'. I sure miss those days now.... and certainly miss going in the 'The Three Pigeons'

From the Spoons website regarding 2017 fixtures..... - They (Spoons) will race at 7.30 on Easter Monday (April 17) and on the other three Holiday dates they will start at a similar time after Wolverhampton’s Premiership meeting earlier. Turnstiles will open at 6.30 for those who only wish to see the Heathens meeting....... So what time start for Wolves???? Whats's next - combined programmes? - caravans on the car park?

Given the Aces get the go-ahead what is the crowd capacity? Is the back straight stand completed?

Would have preferred a re-branding as 'Speedway United Kingdom'.. Then we could have had car stickers with [ Go S-UK ] om our back windows!

How about allowing Tai's Testimonial to be staged at Wolverhampton as an end of season highlight on Monday 23 October. I'm sure the fact that the Australian GP is five days later wouldn't cause any conflict of interest and would help Tai show his loyalty and commitment to British Speedway.

...... In October so it bu**ers up the end of the British season!

Lefty replied to racers and royals's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Well done 'chairman of the BSPA' -look after yourself. so much for the NSS -
With more teams in the League and the return of KO Cup leading to more fixtures can we expect regular Monday nights....... and the Spoons going back to Tuesdays???
-
An absolute pleasure to read both links. Thank you

Belle Vue Vs Wolves, Grand Final 2nd Leg, 5/10/16...
Lefty replied to Col's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Is there a Real Ale pub within waking distance of NSS? As a Wolves fan I think it might be needed circa 9:30pm! -
I would have thought if Poole wished to replace Hans then a balanced BSPA would have offered Joonas Kylmakorpi as a more appropriate replacement,

Will Lindback be riding on a 'holiday visa' ?
-
So both teams missing their number one riders, rider replacement for both teams, no number eights declared - is this the new six rider formula for 2017???

Wolverhampton V Poole. Elb. 5/9/17
Lefty replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Is it mandatory that a 2016 Elite League meeting must have:- 1: a missing GP rider when there is a GP the following Saturday 2: at least two guests. 3: rider replacement. -
Next Thusday sees King's Lynn v Wolves. Will Tai line up for Wolves or it too close to the Grand Prix on the Saturday?
-
Shame there isn't a home meeting tonight - weather looks good!

Will Tai be riding on a Holiday Visa?

I was always narked that Ronnie Groane used to introduce Ivan Mauger as 'Maw-ga'. So to think that Wroclaw and Warsaw could be confused with a National team is par for the course!

Len Silver - Last Of A Dying Breed
Lefty replied to cityrebel's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Thought Nel Revlis was the Sunderland promoter, as Len Silver ran Hackney on the Friday race night!!!! Surely the BSPA wouldn't allow 'doubling up' In the 70's -
Terrace talk suggests Wolves team at Swindon this Thursday is without Karlsson, Thorssell, Howarth & kylmakorpi. Hope rider replacement can make it otherwise I'd have trouble recognising my team!

Disappointed to see the fixture shambles gets worse with a double header on 29 Aug v Swindon & King's Lynn. Do you remember when Monday night used to be a regular Wolves speedway night and no need for double headers?
