  1. Four guests and both teams using rider replacement - a fitting finale for "Premier Speedway 2017".
  2. I had his "Greatest Overtakes" on VHS 180. On the cover it said you could put something else on the unused two hours and fifty minutes
  3. BBC weather forecast for tomorrow doesn't look too good. What options would there be for re-staging or is it a must-run meeting?
  4. I presume the staging of "The Golden Spoon" on a Monday is more important. We will squeeze the K O Cup Final in when we can!
  5. Are Swindon keeping to normal admission prices? Wolves look to have added £2.00 on admission & 50p on the proggy.
  6. Any news of a 'big screen' at Monmore to show the BT coverage of the other semi and adverts etc? Can we expect a 10pm finish?
  7. Four Wolves riders in Heat 9 @ Edinburgh tonight! That's better than two in the Wolves line-up @ Somerset - priceless!!!
  8. I've heard that to raise the status of the Knock-Out Cup the BSPA were to give a gold medal to every rider that appeared for the winning team. They cancelled the proposal when they realised the cost if Wolves won!
  9. And Belle Vue agree a date where Fricke & Doyle are missing... Are your fans being short changed as well?
  10. Club statement this morning regarding Somerset away is one of the saddest admissions of how far the BSPA has sunk.
  11. It's 'tin pot' when the Wolves management seem happy to go to Somerset this Friday without Lindgren, Thorssell and then find that Edinburgh v Ipswich could call on Schlein, Masters, Riss and Greaves. As a Wolves fan it gets harder to justify travelling to support my team. Somerset lose out with lost revenue as this devaluation is allowed to happen. Very sad times.
  12. If Belle Vue beat Swindon and Wolves Select beat Somerset on Friday could we have a double header at NSS on Wednesday 27/9? If this happened which meeting would be staged first?
  13. The M6 was in 'Road To Hell' mode again last night - nearly 3 hours from Wolves for a journey that used to be just over the hour in the 'Hyde Rd' Saturday night era. Aargh!!!!
  14. So is it Kyle Howarth on his own for Wolves with five guests & rider/rep at Somerset this Friday. Do we have a guest team manager as well or is PA not doing Stockholm??? More deckchairs for the BSPA Titanic please ...
  15. Somerset web site confirms no Lindgren in the second leg of the semi. Plus prospects of more guests and r/r Why do they agree these dates??? When do Lindgren / Masters / Doyle / Fricke etc head off to Melbourne??? Do we have the prospect of a Cup Final full of guests and r/r as well?
  16. Well spotted. Somerset web site now has date to be confirmed. But says its the next home meeting and has a time countdown that suggests Friday 22nd! Shall we try again in 2018?
  17. Does anyone know if the coverage of the Premier Semis on 25/9 is showing one meeting or will it be alternate heats from both. I find the alternate heats method is good for TV but an awful drag if attending the meeting. Presume big screen at the track is too much to expect?
  18. Also from a Wolves perspective we must remember Edinburgh ride on Fridays. So if they rode against Ipswich that would leave Kyle Howarth as the only Wolves rider!!!
  19. Well I hope last nights second meeting farce has finally put an end to staging double headers at Monmore Green. Starting at 9:30pm needs explaining and the good old 'curfew' get-out to cut the meeting short is not value for money. The many programme changes and the use of Ellis & Perry from the Swindon fixture made it a poor advert for a so called Premier League. Oh and we had r/r and a guest team manager to complete the circus show.
  20. Somerset v Wolves is the day before the Stockholm GP. Does this impact the availability of Lindgren & Thorssell?
  21. As a Wolves fan I find it difficult to have any enthusiasm about being subjected to 30 heats, at least 30 minutes of gardening at the starting gate and now further delays as the 'Absent Stars' operate rider replacement. The second match should have been moved to next Monday, when the Wolves have no home fixture.
  22. Last weeks Wolves proggy said first race 7:30pm. So presumably BT requirements will get this closer to 7:45pm. So very little chance of Beowolf getting his Real Ale fix after the King's Lynn drag out! Still time to make it one match only???
  23. More likely 'dropped' to a new level. As well as doubling up issues there is a need to address the r/r issue. Six teams rode last night - five of them operated r/r. So meetings take longer to run and further injures during a meeting further dilute what's being offered as a so called team sport. If 'Robinsons Barley Water' had been sponsors year's ago then the sponsors now would be just 'water'.
  24. Problem with a bigger than normal crowd is the inability of the current road network to cope! It needed someone down at the East Park comer to say the car park was full.
