  1. If we had still been on 2 valve JAP''s and no dirt deflectors would the meeting have gone ahead?
  2. Generally I've looked at BBC Weather Web site before travelling to away meetings. Following a forum discussion a few months ago I added XC Weather and found this to be a very good indicator of predicted and actual rain fall. From a Wolves viewpoint I've always felt the Abbey has its own eco-system!!! Sunshine at Birdlip doesn't mean it's dry in Blunsdon etc. What's the view of fans local to the track?
  3. Why not. Not far off British League in the sixties! Variety is the spice of life
  4. Wow... we could have guests and r/r.... just like real League speedway
  5. We're playoffs earlier when there was an October GP in Australia?
  6. As long as they beat Cradley Tiddlyw*nkers then it sounds okay by me!!!
  7. Could a team that finishes fourth from bottom really win a League Title??? Name that Sport???
  8. Fingers crossed that Jensen, Schlein & Morris come through tonight and tomorrow''s fixtures without injury...... Oh ... and that rain stays away
  9. Does this result mean that Poole now have a spare date that they can run their round of the British Youth Championship on?
  10. Not sure. But I've heard there is a special edition of the book on sale in the Cradley area that includes a set of crayons. This will let the Spoons fans colour the pictures of the tattoo's in.
  11. In the best interests of preserving the integrity of the sport Richard Lawson will now be declared as being injured. This enables both Eastbourne & Ipswich to use r/r for him on the same evening.
  12. Are Poole concerned that excessive rain might smooth out the track?
  13. Whoops.... just had a peek at the BBC forecast. I see what you mean. Perhaps this meeting needs to be run after the final. Just like Wolves vs. P'Boro in the (PSC).
  14. Its a disgrace that this final has been run.... the Wolves vs. P'boro (PSC) qualifier is now scheduled for Sunday 13th October...... Name that sport???
  15. Has the marshal been exposed as a male suffragette who threw himself in front of the bike wheels? Or did he get the wrong Cook? I think we should be told
  16. (Sadly) no spare Mondays as the Spoons have a double header next week and the Poole PieRats will run unopposed on the 23rd.
  17. Has Ricky Wells been told that he's injured yet? Is it a Premier League injury only!!!
  18. I would like:- 1) a home meeting every week. 2) away team to visit once only per season. 3) no double-up riders. 4) less gardening at the gate! 5) a heat structure that ensures heat leaders achieve a higher average. 6) riders to adapt machinery to weather conditions AND RIDE. 7) in the event of r/r a #8 to be named and given at least one ride. 8) yellow/black helmet colour to return. 9) first race to start prompt at advertised start time. 10) a points system that allows a League Table to be understood.
  19. And Erik Riss rode the Green as though it was his home track! One of the limited highlights from the Stars.
  20. Apologies for late reply. I was going to type it all out but "Call Me Wolfie" on the Wolves - King's Lynn thread had done this precis (Hope its ok Wolfie?). Now resolved to be Tues 17 Sept. CVS made some comments in the programme regarding the Peterborough meeting. Buster rescheduled the meeting for the 19th without consulting Wolves. When CVS contacted Peterborough about it they were very apologetic about it and removed the date from the fixtures and we've heard nothing since. CVS has tried to talk to Peterborough about it he was told that fixtures need to be agreed by Buster. CVS has had no choice but to ask the BSPA MC to intervene. He said in all his time involved in speedway he has never known anything like it
  21. Peterborough - Wolves (B) still has no agreed date. Full page in last nights Wolves proggy outlines CVS view. Is a Showground double header looming?
  22. Does Scott's ban cover Saturday night in the studio on BT?
  23. And there was wallpaper stuck on the inside of the doors! #62 was a legend at Wolves... especially when he beat Mauger (and Olsen) at Exeter.
  24. Any chance of Peterborough (B) away fixture being sorted out before Brexit or play-off cut-off date? It might be important.
  25. Could I congratulate Klindt on taking the starting gate gardening up to a new level of delay. All it needed it was a set of cones and a digger to complete his 2 mins of preparation. After the gardening was completed he rolled back a few yards to do his ADHD routine of goggle tapping, fuel cap tapping, cut-out tapping, helmet tapping, gloves shuffle and then finally obliged the start Marshall by getting up to the tapes!!! Credit must be given to the resultant gating enabling him to lead the races, although invariably he then provided most of the meeting passes as he progressed to the back! Not really my definition of a "Heat Leader" but I suppose that's what we are down to these days!
