A superb rider. Certainly knew how to ride Waterden Rd. Made the Friday journeys from the West Midlands worthwhile. RIP

Is the track still in Sandy 'Lyle' Lane ?

Did the BSPA not have a parliamentry lobby group? Wasn't there pics of a few promoters at a junket in Westminster a couple of years ago?

I've had nothing but joy and good service from a girl in fishnets!!! -
If it had been finished before 10pm then it would have been okay.

Most Wolves fans would agree with Bernie on this one.

It's a bit like understanding women... you need to be able to separate your "'Bristol's" from your "Scunthorpe's".... -

Good call. And add in a guest, r/r, five changes to the programme & a 'sun' delay and the fans will really feel that things are back to normal. -
Well said Captain

I think you've gone to Aussie enough to feel as much as home there as here... Rory has done the journey... he's got my respect and I'm a Wolves fan who used to have a big can of "Bee" repellant a few years ago!!! -
Just spotted this on the Monmore Green Greyhounds webpage. We remain in conversations with the local authority at Monmore and plan to reopen on October 1st. The past 6 months have been a horribly frustrating and difficult time for all associated with our tracks, but it is our owners who have been most affected. They been incredibly loyal and patient since we went into lockdown in March and even with a reduced capacity it is so important that we have been able to find a way of reopening which will allow them back to the track to see their greyhounds run. We remain genuinely thankful for their support and look forward to welcoming them back. Tables will be reserved in areas at all tracks for owners to give them priority access as we expect demand to be high with the reduced numbers we are having to operate to. Monmore will be operating at around 25% of our usual capacity due to the restrictions we have in place and pre booking will be required for all meetings. We have been in constant conversations with local authorities & DCMS over the past few weeks and months and have produced extremely detailed plans which fully integrate all aspects of social distancing requirements and provide an environment which will keep our staff and customers safe – this has to be our absolute priority. I am sure our customers will respect this having had similar restrictions imposed in all walks of life over the past few months. Monmore will offer a table only service in bar, restaurant & fast food areas with access to terracing assigned and restricted to the different areas.

I thought it was a link for a surf board not a book about a Scunny speedway rider!!!

He peaked in 1988 and then joined Cradley!!!

It would have been 25 but Bruno is a Cradley fan

50 years ago a Coventry chap with the initials 'C.O.' would have sorted out the above Poole shenanigans ..... now some would consider another 'C.O.' is "developing" into a greater threat to Poole Speedway?
-
I appreciate social distancing can be achieved on the terraces at most tracks. However in the event of rain during the meeting, the crowd migration to getting 'under cover' takes over. Most tracks have a bar / viewing area that could get crammed if rain gets heavier. Would the spectators have to 'sign in' when entering the Bar? Thoughts.?

Its in white on blue at the lower part of the web site. A lot more supporting info as well. Fair play to CVS looks to be an honest assessment of the situation.

Now you've broken the ice on this topic...... Can I recommend the trip includes :- 1) A visit to see where the Baden-Powell statue used to be. 2) A cruise round Poole Harbour which my Dad says was where the Japs bombed the harbour and led to the Yanks joining in on WWII.

Witch track can it be?

Sadly Peterborough might fall short on blue badge capability.
