Sad news.... many a beer from the Red Lion, Cricklade was recycled in this most famous of toilets in Speedway. Was it really a pig trough as the urinal???
-
It's a solid Championship line-up, masquerading as a Premiership team!
-
I think Aces will go for Evans first and then bring Zagar in to join him in 2525.

Had a look at the in memorium site and paused to reflect on the riders that I had seen and had so sadly been robbed of a full journey in life. Some very very close to home. I then took a further reflective look at the 'In Memory' part of the speedwaybikes.com site for the USA speedway people & riders, in particularly those that I've met on numerous trips to the States from 1982 onwards. RIP to you all. I like to think that no one is ever fully forgotten. Thank you for these web sites.

It's reported that Facebook has gone down in the UK. Is is due to the increased traffic accessing this group?

Big Bad Wolfs 2022 (Wolves 2022)
Lefty replied to BartoszZmarzlikFan's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I'm amazed that the PL promoters are 'happy' to run a six team league that offers little to no variety of opposition. Sad times continue. -
Perhaps a cheaper washing powder? try Gustix .... it's great for causing agitation and stirring things up. Not sure it's Eco friendly though??

Nah there was only Lee Coleman that was mustard 'round Monmore Green in his red racejacket on a yellow background!
-
At Monmore Green I always considered Gote Nordin & Bengt Jansson as the best stylists.
-
Does that mean the Premier League (B) fixtures will be the only ones shown?

This weeks Speedway Stars Front Cover
Lefty replied to Argos's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Absolutely. As a Wolves fan it was great to get there for the Tapp Series and watch Sam Ermolenko and the other riders blasting round there. One hell of an atmosphere. -
So, so true.... I used to be called a four eyed, deaf, fat 'basted'. But I've adressed it and lost a bit of weight.
-
Yep.... when we have A, B, C & D league fixtures against the same teams to fill the meaningless League dates, before the rain damaged grand play offs, then promoters could at last realise fans will further select the meetings they go to or don't go to! The Promoter solution of ... if the crowds go down, dilute the standard and put the price up has reached the end of the line.

I suggest Pieman is telling us a PorkiePie! ...... unless it's the rumour of Wolves running in the Premiership on a Monday night and also on a Friday in the Championship and using the same seven riders in both teams.

Lefty replied to Racin Jason 72's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Conspiracy Theory time??? 1) Have Kent been fined for not completing NDL fixtures? 2) Is it house building time? 3) ?.?? -
Birmingham Brummies 2020
Lefty replied to ProudtobeaBrummie's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Local press is covering Brum Councils' closure of the 'Wheels' facility for redevelopment. Another part of speedway track history like Hall Green, 'one stop' & Spoons being concreted over. -
Please spare a few moments to reflect on this day in 1993 the League title was decided at Monmore Green's final home fixture without the need for play-offs and we had an 11 team top division, twenty home league fixtures and teams that fans could call their own. It's a shame how far team standards have dropped. PS: If you don't know the result then DON'T check it up.

Belle Vue - Alcohol list and prices
Lefty replied to Monarchs2468's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
As a fellow Wolves supporter I was once told Beowulf is so old that he saw "The Christians" at the Colosseum in an open air gig! -
Belle Vue v Peterborough Panthers - Grand Final
Lefty replied to Flappy's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Yes the integrity of the sport must be maintained and Kerr should ride in both legs of the Final. It's important to stop a team fourth from bottom becoming Champions. -
Not sure about that..... but he is a very naughty boy... when he puts his half a mind to it!
