I've just Google'd "his name" and it came back with 'Brian Cohen'

Why does everybody hate Poole?
Lefty replied to FishersGate's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Same here.... I've been known to applaud Poole at the end of a meeting. ... although the last time was 1969 when they won 49-29 at Wolves. That was a great 'team' in the days of team Speedway. This was before the curse of doubling up, cynical average manipulation and excessive rider replacement took hold! -
Belle Vue v Ipswich Monday June 6th Live on TV
Lefty replied to racers and royals's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Is it time to move the cameras to Monmore Green? It would allow fans a bonus chance to see Bomber on TV, in case he hasn't appeared at their track yet! Also Scott Nicholls could interview him self as an interviewer replacement for Sam Ermolenko. We must get the credibility back into the sport at least on TV otherwise the integrity of the Premier League could be at risk. -
Slightly off-topic, but I was reminded of a Reading fan who asked, "Why do Wolves fan call Tim Hunt, 'Isaac'"
-
Bomber might be a bit race rusty. He hasn't ridden much in the last few weeks!
-
Certainly an entertainer. I was amazed that he turned up at Perry Barr every week in an Austin Allegro with a bike rack on the back! My mate wouldn't trust his to get us from Wolves to Brum on the M6 let alone making the journey from Czecho'. RIP

King's Lynn v Peterborough 30/05/22

Hope she likes tractors! -
Thank you. He's been great to watch in Wolves colours.

Naw, I'm told by the younger ones on the terraces that it was the laydown that ruined Speedway .... But to go back on topic. I missed the opportunity to see the Wolves win 49-29 at Custom House... and never got the chance to go again. One of my regrets ... you always think you can go again next year

I have a plastic penguin from the centre green at Costa Mesa, that was made up to look like a referee as it's painted with black and white vertical stripes!!! The US customs checked it out and were suprised that there was no packages stuffed inside. However my mates prize winning super large 'Las Vegas' Teddy Bear had the razor blade treatment.
-
I suspect that Peterborough could be stopped from using him as the integrity of the sport must be upheld!

So... its free to get in? but you can't get in! Speedway Marketing reaches another low. Will you get a re-admission ticket if its called off after two heats? Enjoy

Wolves v Ipswich Monday May 9th
Lefty replied to racers and royals's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
.... which extends the night by typically 10 - 15 mins to see under one min of racing.... not very 'super' .... is it? -
There's also a belief that the 'bug' can congregate around stadium floodlights in certain areas of Norfolk and cause major impact to work performance there as well.

King's Lynn v Wolves 05/05/22
Lefty replied to Bald Bloke's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
No home fixture next Thursday.! Could have been scheduled for then? -
And a free set of crayons with every copy!

Is Chris Harris on stand by? He's at Belle Vue on the lunchtime!

Dear BSPL, PLEASE let Matej Zagar ride for the Aces. As a Wolves fan my view is: if you don't I'm perilously close to not bother going to watch the Aces at Wolverhampton in a so called Premier League with bugger all teams in it and little to no credibility. Historically you as a management team have devalued the KOC to extinction, damn near finished Speedway as a team sport in the UK with no team variety, doubling up and excessive use of R/R. Stop shuffling the deck chairs on this sinking ship. In the 70's I went to over five meetings a week, now its getting closer to 5 a month! Have rules that will actually get spectators in!

King's Lynn v Ipswich. League Cup 25/4/22
Lefty replied to Bald Bloke's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Yet another new rule book change that does absolutely nothing to please existing spectators or likely to get any new customers through the turnstiles. -
Best news I've read today. 'It's A Wonderful Life'.... Bedford Falls comes to Britain via a journey along the Mississippi.
-
So ten quid for two races and probably got to buy a new proggy for the rerun of the meeting? It starts to make politicians look honest!
-
IMDB suggests the Speedway scenes were filmed at Walthamstow Stadium.

Bet the noise made you cry? ..... or could you watch it behind glass then?
