  1. Last few pages reminded me of Wolves getting a roasting at Blantye in 1981. Steve Lawson and Cribby gave a master class of how to attack a 'dodgy prepared track'. Does Cribby still get his ice bike out these days. That would be great to see at the New Worky!
  2. So why doesn't each site have a link to the other to help promote the sport? Or have I just answered my own question???
  3. And they can't use Chris Harris as a guest either........ or can they???
  4. Brilliant summary. Doyle''s riding reminded me of why in the 70's I could get a car full to come up from Wolves most Thursdays to see who ever the opposition was. Frank Varey was my first and probably only tractor hero! As for the 'worst side' I'm sadly getting conditioned to it.
  5. The best 'Mission Statement' I've seen in a long while. It reminded me of a Birmingham company that used; 'Give the customer the product they want, of the right quality, the right cost and on time!'
  6. Will it be a new proggy / insert / use the original etc? I heard terrace talk on the night of a swap out at the restaging.
  7. A few tattoos and more use of the 'F' word and Dan's made it!
  8. Mike 'The Professor' Bast Keith 'Snakeman' Larsen Robert 'Kid' Curry Vance 'The Green Hornet' Felicio 'Flying' Mike Faria
  9. Wow... Is Chris Harris not available?
  10. Are you 'TTT' in disguise? I would suggest MOST' clubs are NOT doing good business!
  11. Well said Brian. In history as a Wolves fan who did Wolves home and away for every fixture and then did Brum to see the riders from the other division that I would not see and as a bonus get a visit to the Barton Arms in.... I now don't have to do Perry Barr. I'm not alone!!! My other mates used to do Premier away... then A or B fixture and now don't bother. No wonder crowds are down. Aargh. . time to wake up.
  12. You never know.... Chris Holder might have started collecting 'Tractors' and a few more as an incentive could seal the deal !!!
  13. Unless he's guesting for someone who should be taken seriously!
  14. Whoops, can I blame predictive tewxting...... I will get my Biro out and correct it.. Nah, I will play at being a Promoter and not bother!
  15. Looking thru' last week's Speedway Star I saw that the list of top averages for Premiership and Championship. Top of Premiership: Steve Masters (Wolves) Top of Champoonship: Steve Masters (Edinburgh) Are they related???? Should the Leagues be renamed; Monday & Thursday League and the Rest Of the Week League??? Finally should Chris Harris represent every team at the League Riders Final??? Team sport has certainly been wrecked in Britain.
  16. Hope Inspector Morse investigated?
  17. Is that more important than Platinum Premiership Protected Day??
  18. Really???? The Wolves only have Becker that doesn't double-up!!! Oh... and the Championship has more teams...
  19. Another success story for the so called "protected" Monday / Thursday Premier 'No Variety' League.... and it's on TV as well. What a shambles..... again!
  20. I've just Google'd "his name" and it came back with 'Brian Cohen'
  21. Same here.... I've been known to applaud Poole at the end of a meeting. ... although the last time was 1969 when they won 49-29 at Wolves. That was a great 'team' in the days of team Speedway. This was before the curse of doubling up, cynical average manipulation and excessive rider replacement took hold!
  22. Is it time to move the cameras to Monmore Green? It would allow fans a bonus chance to see Bomber on TV, in case he hasn't appeared at their track yet! Also Scott Nicholls could interview him self as an interviewer replacement for Sam Ermolenko. We must get the credibility back into the sport at least on TV otherwise the integrity of the Premier League could be at risk.
  23. Slightly off-topic, but I was reminded of a Reading fan who asked, "Why do Wolves fan call Tim Hunt, 'Isaac'"
  24. Bomber might be a bit race rusty. He hasn't ridden much in the last few weeks!
  25. Certainly an entertainer. I was amazed that he turned up at Perry Barr every week in an Austin Allegro with a bike rack on the back! My mate wouldn't trust his to get us from Wolves to Brum on the M6 let alone making the journey from Czecho'. RIP
