  1. I don't, but the thought of it being "Friday At Eight" would be a great reminder of how Promoters could Promote Speedway in my formative years. RIP: Len
  2. In the early 70's I recall 'spannerIng' for my chum at a Friday mtg of Hackney vs Wolves, promoter Len Silver and then a few Fridays later getting to Sunderland vs Bradford, for further 'spannering' where Nel Revlis was the promoter! Len perfected time-travel well before Quantum Leap! RIP to a legend.
  3. Looking on Google maps for Earle St, suggests the area is now the 'Grand Junction Retail Park'.
  4. I'm amazed that that there are 19 un-attached riders that were approached to appear in "Stars In Your Arena"

  6. Good job they didn't mention Scunthorpe
  7. Is Buster's 'train set' up for sale yet? Or will he be "Throwing the baby out with the bathwater!"
  8. Most Wolverhampton fans considered Stevie to be the best #2 in the League.
  9. Can the title be renamed: Coventry vs Leicester?
  10. "I'm Telling You Now", Freddie is by far the best of the Manchester Garrity's!
  11. Would that be Ryde or Parkhurst?
  12. Has King Charles III been advised to evacuate Sandringham House yet?

  14. A big thumbs up to Peter Oakes in this weeks Star for his 'Just Saying...' column regarding the drug issue (or not!). A well balanced article.
  15. Once again a superb read. So many great memories revisited. Thank you.
