_____________________________________________________________________ How many times did he tell us that "Jason Crump is likely to be World Champion tonight"? He mentioned/was talking about Crump before and during almost every heat, even when Crump wasn't in the Race! Surely his job is to commentate on what is happening on the track during each race, not stupid chatter about Crump? Johnno had moments when he got on my nerves, too. Shall put the mute button on in future and just watch the racing.

( ) I am also in total agreement. Speedway was the one sport where you take your family to any track and NEVER experience anything like this. It is sad to see this sort of behaviour creeping into Speedway. Only a few weeks ago, a "Fan" threw a glass of beer at Martin Smolinski after he had won (I think) a race. We don't want it in our sport. perhaps the Stadium in question should deal with it - I know Ian Thomas dealt firmly with the glass-throwing incident.

) So has Lee Richardson! he's also a master of the roller.

( ) The Brits got onto the rostrum because Crump threw it in the last race. He was on a Joker and would have got 4 points and the Aussies would have been 2nd. tonight, the Swedes 3rd. and the Brits 4th.

( ) I am sure you are right, but I am also sure that the British boys would give their all for their country WHOEVER is the Team Manager. I think Middlo has done the best he can with the riders available, but IF a new TM were to be appointed, do you honestly think the Brits would refuse a place in the team because the manager wasn't Middlo? WELL DONE TO THE BRITS ON THE BRONZE MEDAL.

( ) Congratulations to Denmark - worthy winners. Full credit to Sweden as well. I had not expected them to do as well as they did - neither, I suspect did anyone else because they weren't even mentioned much before the meeting on Sky. It was all Australia, Denmark and GB.

( ) I have seen that particular move from a rider many times. I've seen Peter Collins, Michael Lee, Ivan Mauger, Chris Morton, Sam Ermolenko, Lee Richardson and Leigh Adams to name a few - all execute that same move. Fans usually cheer! It is only because it was Hans Andersen that everyone is "up in arms" over it. Having said that, Nicholls won the race - and I hope the Brits do well tomorrow.

( ) Good post. There is a lot of truth in what you say. The Team Manager should be more involved with development at all levels. But where are the training facilities that Denmark , Sweden and Poland have for the youngsters to come through the ranks, starting with 80cc machines and then onwards and upwards?

( ) Antonio Lindback is always so exciting to watch - he's a real racer. So many times he comes from last to first and leaves everyone at Poole speechless! Think he might struggle at Reading though, Zetters. He has only ever ridden there once and scored only three points from five rides. Have never seen a poor performance from him like that before.

( ) Pearson also makes loads of mistakes! Both he and Millard should go IMO. they make a laughing stock of our sport!
