  1. Wonder who Tai will give his silver medal to ?
  2. Yes, I do. I also get annoyed by the use of "So" at the beginning of just about every sentence. I am in a grumpy mood too. No idea why, just woke up like it. My daughter says I am unsociable anyway!
  3. how is Layne Cupitt progressing under Tai's tuition?
  4. Perhaps it's the only chance you will get to see him ride in England and Sky think we are that desperate.
  5. not Team GB fault he isn't in England though
  6. So Woffy wishes he could buy the BSPA and run it like his business. Does he wish to make money from being the MD of the BSPA then? Is that what he wants. Or am I mis-understanding another of his cryptic tweets. Perhaps he wants a job when he finishes racing. Any other theories. Just another thought. If he paid his own expenses at Manchester, does he not pay his mechanics yearly, so that meeting should have been included in their salary anyway. Ovbviously there may be other expenses to account for,but i would have thought mechanics were already accounted for.
  7. The Prague track is 353 metres, bigger than Belle Vue.
  8. You must have watched a different meeting. He gifted Holder a point in one race .
  9. I agree absolutely, without these two we have no viable team.
  10. Will Woffinden be committed enough to give it his all, or will he save himself for the GP's and World title? He only did enough in Prague to qualify for semi's. I don't believe the stuff spouted by the commentators about him trying his hardest. In The World Cup there is no room for half hearted efforts, its cut and thrust stuff. I feel the same about Lambert. I really hope they prove me wrong. Before you all shoot me down for having an opinion, they are both very talented riders and have proved this point already. However they both have their own agendas and the World Cup may not be at the top of the list.
  11. Perhaps it was the same person who boo'ed when Berwick were there, and it was at Jason.
  12. Certainly not, just stating what i think. If you want to be charitable you don't have to publicise the fact. I'm sure he made loads of money for charity, well done. As I said before I have changed my views about him due to recent revelations on Twitter and I really don't have any respect for him.
  13. Of course he should do what's right for him,but perhaps he should consider doing something else for a living if he can't manage the schedule like lots of others do.It's about money.
  14. I was not saying that charity is a bad thing, merely that for someone who purports to not have the energy to ride in this country, but can complete a gruelling bike ride it's a strange thing to do. Would this be something that would be good for publicity? i used to support Tai,and was in Torun when he won his world title, but recent events have caused me to alter my opinion. I am entitled to an opinion. Why doesn't he just say that the money is not enough in England for him and be honest about it?
  15. At least Scotty races in this country, more than can be said of" Mr I'm too tired to race here, but I have enough energy to do charity bike rides" He could always make a donation to charity like the rest of us do.
  16. Felt a bit sorry for Rosco having to make apologies for only having one Brit in the team. If he had been aware of the situation earlier in the week would he have been able to find another Brit to partner Lambert? If it was only logistics that caused the problem, surely a little more time for arrangements would have helped. Woffinden obviously knew he would not be there, so why didn't Rosco ?
  17. Not the greatest GP but an improvement in commentary by having Steve Johnston. His knowledge was put to good use.
  18. Perhaps the rider of the day is not chosen because of the amount of wins he attains, but for other factors,i.e.entertainment value, determination etc. Garrity is surely watchable if nothing else! As for the track being "crap", as they say ...its the same for both sides. Dudley had a meeting there last week so should have at least got their set ups right. One can never account for the weather at Buxton, it being the highest track in England and I think this affects engine set up a little. As for overtaking perhaps you have been unlucky,as I have had some of the most entertaining meetings up there with plenty of excitement. I have also been to Wolves on numerous occasions and cant really say the same. However we feel about each others track merits, lets at least be grateful that we can still attend them and pass comment. As for" making the gate", that skill certainly helps in Speedway, whichever track you ride.
  19. What exactly don't you like about the track Halifaxtiger? The shape, location, size or what? Buxton has provided some of the best racing I have seen in my 50 years of speedway viewing. I am grateful that Jayne and Richard continue to provide the facilities at Buxton and consider it the most pleasant track in the world! I have never raced a speedway bike, but know plenty who have and have heard no more complaints about Buxton than any other track. It may have a strange camber here and there, but considering its location I am not entirely surprised by this! On yesterdays meeting, I was surprised at how close the score was at the end as I expected Buxton to make it easier than they did. Dudley provided a good meeting overall, and the travelling fans made for a great atmosphere. Jake Anderson impressed me and Micky Dyer tried hard for his points and may do better next time he is at Buxton.
  20. Thanks Tanya, I have passed the info on to my friend. He has just text me to say he is on his way.
  21. Does anyone know of a pub in the Newport area which will be showing the GP? I have a friend who is away near there this weekend and would like to watch the GP. Hopefully I will be able to record it too so he wont be too disappointed if there is nowhere to watch live. Thanks.
  22. Well we all had a good laugh at Millard and his mistakes, its not as if we dont know whats happening is it. I much prefer him to Pearson and his shouting, with Millard you can ignore his voice. Gary looked as if he had had a few before the meeting and Ermo was talking his usual rubbish. The other bloke was a non entity in grey. Get rid of one of them and have a supporter from one of the tracks instead. Liven it up a bit. It was very "grey". Johnno every time for me, quality chat and sense of humour.
  23. Well done to Rune. The other three were all worried about each other and let Rune have the run on the outside. As for Rune being way ahead of the others and people questioning his speed, nobody did that when Rickardsson was a quarter of a lap ahead every race !
