Doesnt seem to be much interested on here re this meeting. Anyone out there in Berwick ? Or has someone locked the door after the last person left ???

Hold on a minute.....I heard that the management KNEW since the day they signed CV that he would not be available this weekend as he was acting as Best Man at a wedding. So how could they know months ago, that Ace Piper was "the best option" ? Wasnt he riding for Glasgow at that time ? And if so, wouldnt Glasgow have been riding last night so he couldnt "guest" could he ? I am led to believe that the rules state you cannot have a guest replacement for a rider who is absent due to "personal reasons" ? But if you can show me the relevant rule I will stand corrected !

I have been asked by someone, why we didnt get a guest for Craig Cook for this meeting ? Anyone know for sure ?

Just had a call from a Comets fan who is at Redcar right now. He says there is no sign of Craig Cook !! But Dale Wood (Edinburgh NDL Rider ?) is there. Someone on here has said its because he is our assigned No8. Wonderful !

Thanks for the information so far guys. If anyone can confirm Cookie Monster IS riding, and we havent got an NDL stand in for him, I would appreciate knowing. I appreciate his current situation makes it difficult for him to know for sure. But the Club needs to know well in advance, one way or the other. Thanks again !

The serious question I would ask, is, does anyone know FOR CERTAIN, if Craig Cook IS riding on Friday and at home on Saturday please ?

I personally dont think the crowds are as high as riding in the championship needs them to be, for it to be sustainable. But one thing is for sure, the crowds at the Poole meeting yesterday were MUCH higher than of late ! Even better that those at the Ben Fund Meeting in my opinion !

But the incident with Cook didnt happen on the FIRST BEND did it ! It happened mid way between the 1st and 2nd bends. If it had happened going in to the FIRST BEND then the ref can use his discretion. Once the riders are them progressing to the 2nd bend, he cant use the "1st bend bunching" rule ! Also where did you see all this "billowing dust" ??? I havent missed a meeting there all season, and believe you me, you can hardly say there was ANY dust today !

So are you saying that the reason the problem exists, is because Vissing was refusing to ride, because he had "booked his holidays" for last Sat ?

I do have a sense of humour. But upsetting fans by posting HOAX photos and putting them off visiting Northside, will detract from potential revenue, and these days more than ever, we dont want to lose money ! One poster seemingly already BELIEVED that photo !! Have a laugh yes, but not if it any way affects Workington Comets revenue !

There have been some interesting clues as to what one poster really THINKS the meeting was postponed for. And those clues havent been spotted by many on here. Look closer at some recent posts ! You might be surprised ! Many of you might be missing the point. I still believe its for the "bad forecast".

Not sure what part of Workington you live in, but I am near the centre, and to say its "pouring down" would be a MASSIVE exaggeration ! The rooves are slightly DAMP and its easing up already. Not much to talk of at all.

Let me assure anyone who looks at this.....THIS IS NOT WORKINGTON COMETS GT ARENA NORTHSIDE !!!!! I dont know where it is, but the only similarity with our track is that is seems to have a railway line running close by ! I live in Workington only 1 mile from the track and all week we have had SOME occasional rain, mainly showers, but not anything like enough to cause the amount of flooding in the photo above. THIS PHOTO IS A HOAX AND IS NOT WORKINGTON COMETS ARENA !!

Hi There were RUMOURS a few days ago that they might call this meeting off, due to the England match being on the same day at 5pm. We have tapes up normally at 3pm. There is no sign yet, on any Comets media site that its going to be cancelled or an earlier start time, so I presume it will just be the normal 3pm start. Current Met Office Forecast is 60% chance of a heavy shower, but Sunny Spells all afternoon too.

Well there might be a chilly breeze dropping the temperature to below 70 degrees !

Weather now showing Torrential Rain from 12pm to 4 pm ! Oh dear...not looking good !

I dont think its in the interests of the public to know exactly what is stolen, to be fair. They have mentioned "power tools", strimmers, etc
