This bit about "former world champion" etc has not come from any official sources though has it? What the official press release says is that ""I can assure supporters that they are business people of substance... not easy thing to manage a club of Birmingham's size and run your own business as well." Do the front runners in the gossip stakes (Ermolenko, Tatum, Pearson, O'Reilly and Deeley) qualify as "business people of substance"? There may have been a lot more money "in the system" if 40% of the Sky money over the many years of their lucrative sponsorship, had gone into the sport instead of into Terry Russell's back pocket to pay his mortgage off. Treat yourself to a trip out there next year. Twice I've been able to get return air fares from Birmingham to/from Poznan for under £25. It makes away trips to some tracks in Britain expensive in comparison.
