A bit of a step up for the guy! He wasn't exacty outclassing everyone at Lodz so I wonder what is expected of him at Gorzow? What average will he be on next year? -
Polish Extraleague 2013 Confirmed Signings

Got a feeling that the Extraliga cash cow bubble is bursting. Polonia BigDosh may only be Polonia ModerateDosh now, and Tarnow are in deep red trouble too. -
If you don't intend "living in" your hotel, you won't find much cheaper than the EasyHotel - €35 per night. Think of it as a ships cabin for the night, clean, warm, dry, quiet, etc, but not big enough for an afters party. Berlin's public transport system will ensure that wherever you stay, you'll find your way to the stadium.

Polish Extraleague 2013 Confirmed Signings
uk_martin replied to racers and royals's topic in International World of Speedway
Expect KK to continue at Gorzow! Have Tanow announced anyone to bail them out of their debt crisis? 1.3m in the red from what I read (Google's transation service isn't the best) Can they sign anyone until their debt is cleared? -
Maturing into a GB International by doubling down into the Premier League? Interesting concept. Ask Ben Barker if it's one that works.

I assume he was using his verbal pen to deposit verbal ink onto some verbal paper then?

Peterborough need a new dog in the stands don't they? Maybe it could be called "LickLad"???
-
Can we have the names of teams and riders being spell-checked and given their correct capital letters please?

Best investment I ever made was for a motorised satellite dish. With the "right" receiver you can get so many sports channels from all over Europe that show for free what we have to pay SkySports for in the UK. Nice to be able to watch Polish and Swedish speedway in HD on a 46 inch TV screen, rather than have a 2 inch display on a PC with adverts getting in the way all the time. Saturday afternoon football is on too, and with a choice of audio you can even get an English commentary. I'll be changing my receiver in the winter, to one that is permanently connected to the internet as well as to the dish, so that it can also show IPTV (sometimes known as WebTV) so that I will be able to see Kanal Sport from Denmark with their Danish league speedway as well. Just wait til GoofSpeed read up a little bit more about "media rights" and flex their muscles even further and go after the amateur internet radio channels, (3 at Birmingham that I've heard about) and the texters and tweeters. It'll make the booting out of the BBC Radio WM crew from Kings Lynn, a couple of years ago, seem like nothing in comparison. -
Too bad that the moving of dates of the Polish Play-off's will dilute the potential Z-P field.

4 more to be announced, and I'm assured that "we won't be disapointed" with who they will be. One, I've had a nod and a wink about, and he certainly fits the "won't be disapointed" bill...although I don't think that it's fair to the orgainisers to spill the beans here. Sounds like it's going to be a great meeting. Now all we need is for Carol Kirkwood to ensure us the right weather so that we can enjoy what's going to be a marvelous spectacle. http://hfbstest.files.wordpress.com/2012/02/ck.jpg

Team Gb V Team Australia Test Match - 1st August 2012.

Hope that it's a good evening then. -
Team Gb V Team Australia Test Match - 1st August 2012.
uk_martin replied to Bomo1's topic in International World of Speedway
Because aren't test matches supposed to be "official", and between the representitive teams of nations, rather than (to use another term) "A Great Britain VII" v "An Australian VII" that a promoter decides to line up against each other? If any Tom, Dick and Harry can organise their bunch of random Brits to go up against a bunch of available Aussies, and call it a "test match" then that devalues what the term is supposed to represent. Just my opinion of course... -

Pretty much my thoughts too...Also, is this a Poole promoted event or is it a BSPA Shared event? If the former, then what right has any one promoter to use the term "test match"? If the latter, why are the BSPA keeping the fixture so far away from the rest of the speedway public for two years running? Surely people of Manchester, Birmingham, Wolverhampton and Coventry are entitled to see "international speedway" too? In fact why restrict it to EL tracks only? Why not run the meeting at somewhere like Sheffield as well? -

TVP Sports beaming into my satellite TV system good and strong. Does anyone know if TVP plan to open up a TVP Sports HD station in the near future? I was looking forward to seeing Alex Locamotive. Sounds an exciting prospect. And JJR looks about 12 years old. And at 12 years old, Pawel, JJR won't have learned about the Cold War, Communism and post war history yet. He'll still be learning all about the Roman Empire, Egyptians and their pyramids and all that... -
No! While I don't wish him any ill or any harm, I won't be cheering him on either. Still have memories of Mear in Rye House colours, shoving Phil Morris off and into the fence, causing severe injuries to Morris, and also to Adam Roynon who broke his leg in 5 places in his attempt to avoid the pile-up.

It has to be Tai's to lose in my opinion. Of the rest, can Bomber get through an important meeting without blowing an engine? Will Nicholls start like a train and then tail off in his last 2 races as old age creeps in? Is Danny King an old or a new guard? He's beaten the best at Monmore Green (just ask Freddie Lindgren) - don't rule him out. Adam Roynon, on his "other home" (Monmore Wood - lol) will know his way around, and if he can make the gate, he'll have the speed to upset some apple carts. Ben Barker has just discovered a run of form at the right time, scoring over 16 points, two nights running...problem is that Wolverhampton isn't his favourite track. It will be interesting to see how Richard Lawson, Craig Cook and Josh Auty fare. Now watch someone who hasn't been mentioned surprise us all by winning it lol

Mickey Mouse v Stal Gorzow - it's going to be awesome. A second match would only be an anti-climax. -
