Just a quick update on our tour to the Croatian SGP, especially as Ryan Air flights are currently set to 'no taxes' status from Stansted to Trieste !! Target price for B&B hotel, all coach transers, SGP tickets, and flights was £400, but due to Ryan Airs current prices it will be significantly less. A reminder of our schedule Thursday 26th August Flight from Stansted to Trieste arriving at 1435. 2nd Flight arrving from Birmingham at 1630. Coach pick up from Trieste airport in Italy at 1700 hrs. Arrival at Ljubliana Hotel at 2000 hrs Friday 27th August Day of leisure Saturday 28th August Depart for GP at Gorican at 1500 hrs Return to Hotel after SGP. No, Emil will score zero for any team in the forthcoming SGP. Protasiewicz's scoring does not count. The transfer window opens after Parken where you will have the option of swapping Emil for someone else. Hopefully we'll be permitted to have a separate thread for that.

As it appears that whomever is moderating this section of the BSF is maintaining a position of total intransigence, I have no option but to invite nominations for captains for the future SGPs on this thread going forward. I will now have to manually maintain the information on the SGP competition spreadsheet, and as such will do my level best to keep the game running up to date. It is extremely disappointing that due to someone's inability to respect my position as the organiser of the game, and indeed as someone who has financially supported the BSF in recent times, that my requests for separate threads have fallen on deaf ears, and indeed that they do not even have the politeness or good grace to offer me an explanation why this is just not possible, rather to just almost immediately delete both threads and posts.

Just curious Mateusz, but from the Bydgoszcz vs Leszno meeting surely only Pavlic would have been scheduled to ride tomorrow ? Who makes the decision in Poland to cancel a E-Liga meeting when just 1 rider will be absent ? I'm not being critical, I'm just curious as to how and why the decision has been made.

My second attempt at having a separate thread for Round 3 captain nominations has just been deleted by someone so this is my last chance in trying to resolve this matter.

Because having individual threads for captain nominations for each round allows the software that calculates all the scores to automatically update after each round. By merging them together it means I have no easy identifable 'first' post for each round, and as such I have to manually search the thread. I would not have spent hours writing the code for the game last season to just jack it all in after 2 rounds this year. All I'm asking for is for the mods to respect my request that we have an individual thread for each round. This was made quite clear in the rules of the game outlined in post #1.

In reply to bazaar3, I am still waiting for an explanation from a moderator (4 days after initially requested) why my threads keep being merged together. Unless a mod can accept my reasons for requiring separate threads for each rounds captain nominations then sorry guys, I don't have the energy to keep arguing nor indeed to keep running the game.

Ok, despite a specific request that the Round 3 thread for captain nominations not be merged into this main thread it has been done so, and the specific request has been deleted !! Could the mod that has merged the two threads for the 2010 Grand Prix Competition please PM me to explain WHY ??? This now causes me real headache in compliling the Round 2 captain nominations ! I deliberately created a separate thread for Round 2 captain nominations and was going to create a seperate thread for each SGP as this assists me greatly when populating my spreadsheet. Tickets have today gone on sale for the Croatian SGP at the end of August, here. A reminder to any interested parties, we are running a coach from Slovenia, passing through Zagreb, so should anyone wish to travel to Gorican by coach and save on hiring a car please feel free to drop me a PM. We still have room on our 3 day trip, flying into and staying in Slovenia, so if people wish to spend time in the company of fellow Speedway fans, again please feel free to PM me.
