2015 Speedway Gp Challange

Track rode fine, although surface material looked very Terenzano-esque. Racing line very much around the kerb, with most of the entertainment from Leon Madsen on his rocket ship. Won't be making a trip for the SGP though. -

Belle Vue Aces -v Poole "cheats" Pirates

From the 37 EL meetings staged so far this season, just 7 have been staged without at least 1 guest or R/R being used. 6 of these were in the week 31/3 thru 8/4, with the 7th one being Belle Vue vs Swindon on 11/5 -

The coventrystox.com website only lists the meetings run by Jeremy Heaver. Steve Rees' Startrax promotion ran a meeting there on the 19th October 2014. http://www.startrax.info/cpg/thumbnails.php?album=285

I suspect it not being shown is solely down to budget.

All becomes clear now why Lebedev went on a lap of honour at Debrecen after missing out to Dudek in the run off and then performed multiple donuts !! I agree, both really good choices. -

Poole Pirates Vs Coventry Bees 21/5/2014
ballinger replied to Shaleshifter's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
The Bees team is listed on the Sportowefakty site in alphabetical order, as per the Bees press release. The Poole website has both sides 1-5 listed in alphabetical order. Sportowefakty have assumed Poole will line up like that tonight, and indeed they may. -
Eastbourne V Coventry Select 17th May
ballinger replied to mdmc82's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Time and again over the years we have seen fixtures take place with guest select line ups, I recall Bees travelling to Eastbourne in 2008 (?) with just Burza & Messing of their regular line up, 4 guests and RR. The same last year as Swindon were forced to visit Brandon on their only visit of the campaign with a similar make up. King's Lynn visit to Birmingham tonight with 3 guests for their 3 Danes on the same night as the Danish Final that was brought forward a day when the date of the Finish SGP was confirmed. Appreciate that with Lynn and Brummies both being Wednesday night tracks its never easy to organise fixtures between them, but would it not have been more sensible to have had another team at Perry Barr this week (last night) ? The SEC competition muddies the EL waters even further, its listed on Peter Kildemand's website that he is scheduled to race the 3rd SEC qualifier at Zarnovica next Saturday, the same night as Swindon are due at Eastbourne, so two weeks on the trot Eastbourne will face visiting teams without their number 1 and no facility available for their absence. Would it not have been better to have switched the Bees & Robins visits there ? or perhaps the DMU can explain why their 2 nominations for the SEC cannot be switched to the other weekend, so Hans could be at Zarnovica on the 24th and Kildemand at Krsko on the 17th ? Or is that too sensible ? -
Isn't Round 2 on May 10 at Landshut ? Maybe it'll be Holder & Batchelor that evening, given its Eastbourne vs Poole the same night.

Speedway Livestream 6 Days A Week

Just got home after the usual nightmare of the M6. Would like to set the record straight and inform and advise everyone about this. Firstly this was not a Clean Cut Sports production. The whole set up was provided by a company called Race Tech who it would appear were supplying the pictures to bet365. I've now idea if it will always be for bet365 but tonight it was. When told about this last week by GoSpeed I was asked if we could supply a feed of our live commentary (for no fee) This was agreed to on the understanding that races would only be able to be seen if a bet had been placed. The fact that the audio appeared not to be clear was absolutely nothing to do with us - we just gave it to Race Tech The fact that just £5 deposited with bet365 this evening gave you the whole thing from start to finish was certainly not advised to us, and if it had of been then we would not have provided a free commentary. I have asked for immediate clarification from GoSpeed if this was just a one off - if it wasn't then I wonder what is the point of my business paying thousands of pounds a season with individual EL promoters for exclusive DVD rights when for a fiver (which you can withdraw afterwards) you can sit at home and watch for effectively nothing. I am happy to keep you informed further especially as the next meeting to be covered, according to the Race Tech guys, will be Birmingham vs Belle Vue on Wednesday. -

What Happens When A Rider Is Missing?
ballinger replied to pete cc's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
There's so much that needs consideration with the new EL format this season. Protected races for 6 & 7 meaning more Heat Leaders vs Heat Leaders races is just one element. Personally I see the requirement for the 5th rider (by CMA) to be a type of supplementary reserve that can come in the event of a tape break / 2 min exclusion. Should 5,6,or 7 break tape then only option would be 15m handicap. In the event of a DU rider missing then only viable option IMO is a guest, or maybe 2 riders share a DU position like it was in the past. With regards to what happens in the event of an injury, how's about this. Riders 1 or 2 - RR covered by any other rider, each eligible to take 1 RR ride Rider 3 - covered by 2,4,5 with 4 and 5 eligible for 2 RR rides Rider 4 - covered by 3 (1 ride) and 5 (3 rides) Rider 5 - 2 rides covered by 4 and 2 rides covered by 6 or 7 Whilst I agree totally that this last scenario isn't ideal I cannot see any other solution. In the following example therefore, using Wolverhampton. Their 5th rider by CMA is Jacob Thorsell. Assuming Heat leaders are riding at team positions 1,3,& 5, Thorsell will line up at 2 or 4. Assuming he crashes out in his first ride, which we will assume is still Heat 1, he isn't excluded from the race, just withdraws injured. His rides could then be covered by RR as follows. 1st ride (against opposition 1&2) - Rider 4 by CMA which I believe is Ricky Wells 2nd ride (against opposition 2 and 7 - ie the old Heat 8) replaced by rider 6 (Ash Morris) 3rd ride (against opposition 3&4 - ie the old Heat 10) - replaced by rider 4 by CMA (Ricky Wells) 4th ride (against a SS and a reserve) - replaced by rider 6 or 7 Because of this requirement to implement immediate RR once a meeting is underway I would suggest that any rider absence pre meeting has to be covered by a guest, or maybe even by another squad rider if teams ever decide to go down that route -

March 28th a difficult date given its the day of the SEC pairs in Torun. Granted not many involved but it would place maybe Ward and Iversen in a difficult position -

Shame that Simon (speedibee) feels it necessary to be so disingenuous - especially when young Bailey acquitted himself well and rode a sublime first and second bend in Heat 7 to lead Ashley Morris. That one move alone demonstrated to me that the lad has potential.
