Somerset V Belle Vue. 4.8.17.
colin wood replied to Cliffeboy's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
No way are we stronger with RR for Max.He was riding great before his crash and will be a big loss. -
Sacking Kyle Newman who was coming back from injury certainly helped him earning a living lol.

Belle Vue Aces Vs Poole Pirate 31/07

Fricke was the stand out rider for me.He was winning his heats by a massive margin. He reminds me very much of Leigh Adams such a classic smooth style on the bike. -
Matt Ford is that smart he signed KK this year and got rid of the rider you want him to resign next year after telling him to deliberately lower his average. You make him sound like a crook.I bet Kings Lynn fans like this master plan lol
-
Whatever next someone wants Matt Ford to offer a bribe to Chris Holder of a guaranteed team place for next year if he takes it easy for Kings Lynn this year lol.Thing must be really desperate down south.

To me and other fans winning the league means topping the table at the end of the season .We did that last year.Play offs are a different competition.League champions when finishing third or fourth doesn't sit right with me.Not having a go by the way I'm just not a fan of the play offs. -

Richie is a fine rider I was hoping BV could have fitted him in but averages dictated otherwise.I would rate him higher than Kennett or Lahti tbh he's probably better at away tracks than both of them. -

It was smoothed out because of all the flak Poole have taken. Its about time too,the track at BV on Mon was superb and starman reckons anyone with half a brain could prepare it so it should be easy.lol -

So the Poole track was deliberately roughed up to give advantage to the home riders? Don't think Chris Holder saw it that way lol. -

You have to laugh when people suggest we ditch Jack and can't come up with a suitable replacement.I think he is doing OK he's been thrown into the premiership on a 2 point average and if he scores that he has done his job.Would rather encourage their development than sack them. -

BV fans know Richie is a good rider some Poole fans thought he was a poor signing. -
Bang on BV72 there is too much dirt on the outside now and the inside is far too slick. It was perfect for the Peter Craven meeting which had the most passing ever seen at the NSS.
-
I reckon riders turn up at the NSS take a look at the track and think wow this is miles better than what I'm used to,I can't wait to have a blast round there.Big,fast loads of room and very smooth, bring it on.Swindon did and battered us.Too much tinkering with set ups by Aces riders and poor gating cost us.

Poole V Belle Vue Bt Sports 26/6/17

It wouldn't cost that much to rip up the track on the bends and relay it.The track is a nice size and shape but way too bumpy and dangerous to ride.Come on Matt sort it out. -
Belle Vue Aces Vs Poole Pirates 9/6/17

Poole Keith that's my point exactly, let's put up with crap teams turning up everything will be fine for the play offs.Yes way may get an easy 3 points but this match now is a farce and we are just expected to turn up and put up with it. -

I blame the play offs. Its like never mind what team what team we cobble together we can still make the play offs. Some league matches are now treated with contempt. It would be better if every point counted towards winning the league and maybe riders would not go missing as much. The extra fans clubs get for reaching the play offs are surely lost in the matches leading up to it in fixtures like BV vPoole which is now a farce. -

You have a good chance to win ,Somerset proved that any team can race well at the NSS and Bates is decent at BV.I expect An Aces win but you could nick a point. The racing as always should be very good ,hope you enjoy the visit. -
Swindon V Somerset Bank Holiday Monday At 5.00
colin wood replied to keef robin's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Its so frustrating when matches are so spread out.Up here in Manchester we have dodged the rain and if we had a match it would have gone ahead.Bank holiday and no meeting what's that about ? -
Belle Vue V Swindon Friday 19th May
colin wood replied to STEPHEN 333's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Has anyone noticed how rare it is for a rider to fall off at the NSS.It must be the safest and probably fastest track in the country. -
I was impressed with Kyle Bickley fantastic display from a 15 year old rider.
-
Get rid of KK and sign Richie Worrall till the end of season.Good English rider and would save you money which could be spent on the track.
-
When BV announced they were doing on line booking they got a bit of stick because it cost you an extra quid more.It doesn't now and I have printed my ticket off at home for nearly every match I've been to including the Colts matches.Poole are actually reducing prices which is a great gesture and shouldn't be knocked.

Can't see Wolves losing at home.Lots of riders just can't ride monmore well and this will prove advantageous in the play offs.Wolves will ride their opponents track better than they ride theirs. -

There is parking at the stadium near the entrance to the south stand and the school which is a little bit further down kirky lane.If you get there early enough you should be OK. It costs 3 pounds but you car is safe and its got security staff on both. -
Wolves V Belle Vue 18/4/17
colin wood replied to stevebrum's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I disagree about most passes at the NSS are on the outside. There is lots of passing on the inside,in fact anywhere on the track you will see passing. It just looks better because its done at a much faster speed than monmore but a pass is a pass no matter where its done on the track.
