Belle Vue V Lakeside Wed 3rd August
colin wood replied to mdmc82's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
How can you blame Belle Vue for riders not turning up ? Both Hancock and Jonsson have offered lame excuses .I found out about Hancock's no show on the day of the meeting having already bought my ticket.Jonsson probably rang in sick today bet he rides on Friday. Its the riders in these cases who are taking the piss not Belle Vue. -
2016 Swc Semi's And Final 29/30/july 2016

Talking of fast reactions I've got a mate who's very tight and always the last one to get a round in.He dropped a tenner once and it hit him on the head! -

Does anyone think a six man team with 2 riders per team in the heats would be better. It might lead to a bit of team riding and be a better watch. As we saw last night the rider in front just went flat out on a super tuned bike.It didn't seem like a team event. It could be that I am used to seeing 2 riders each for league matches etc but the racing we saw last night was the worst I've seen this season at the NSS and I'm not blaming the track either. -

For me the main reason the racing was poor was the difference in class of some riders. The USA team were so poor at this level. Also the Russian riders bar Emil were struggling leaving the Aussies and Danes battling it out in most races.Thought Doyle was brilliant but tomorrow is another day and its a much more competitive field. -
Chris Morton said some time ago the track would be available for the GB team to get some practice on. A full days practice without doubt would have been beneficial to the riders. Why go to Poland to test engines when Tai could have tested them at the NSS.This track rides extremely fast and getting the right set up is crucial. The excuses for missing the practice are frankly unprofessional and needless.Lets face it we need all the help going to challenge for a medal.

Coventry V Belle Vue 22/07/2016

Just hope everyone at the NSS gets behind the team.Whoever got picked is on to a hiding to nothing looking at the strength of the other teams.Bronze medal would be a great achievement. -
Swindon - Belle Vue 21.7.16
colin wood replied to A ORLOV's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Belle Vue must be everyone's favorite away track.Riders I haven't rated too highly have looked great around the NSS this season Tungate being one of them. Its so frustrating seeing his score tonight though for Swindon fans. -

Would you pick Harris or King for World Cup team? -

Far from being a joke it shows yet again how forward thinking belle vue really are.Its only 2 quid more than it normally costs if your not happy with that complain to BSI. -

Its not the same thing as swearing in a interview after the match .If Murray uses the f word during a Sue Barker post final interview he would get hammered for it.Its not the first time Tai has done it he needs to grow up and cut it out. -
Bell Vue V Wolves Friday 17th June
colin wood replied to rainman's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I've been very impressed with some of the young Brits at the NSS this season. The national league is producing some good riders for the future.Joe has improved a lot and having extra rides has definitely helped him.Its great to see the progress of young riders irrespective of who they ride for. -
Belle Vue National Stadium
colin wood replied to PHILIPRISING's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Just got my tickets yesterday for West Terrace.I've been in grandstand and back straight stand so somewhere else for World Cup final is good.Great viewing guaranteed anywhere as you are so close to the track.Think it will be sold out soon. -
Belle Vue V Coventry 30th May, 2016
colin wood replied to Aces51's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Yes you can select a seat online.I tried this for a recent Colts match just to see if the system worked and whether I could do it easily on my home computer.I wanted block C in the main grandstand so clicked on this on the stadium map.As I wanted two tickets I was offered 2 on row J which were next to each other so I accepted them. The people who have season tickets will obviously have their own seats allocated so it does limit your choice but the view from anywhere in the grandstand is superb. If you want cheaper tickets then the south stand(back straight) or first bend have equally great viewing so it depends how much you want to pay.I will definitely use the print at home option again its just like others have said a bit annoying paying an extra quid a ticket. -
Belle Vue adapted to a difficult track better than Poole and deserved to win. That's all there is to it really but it must be a worry for Pirates if their own riders are slating the track.I'm sure you will get it sorted out but after the stick Belle Vue got from some pirates fans about our new track problems some even calling for Gordon and Morton to quit can we expect Matt Ford to step down LoL

Belle Vue Colts-v- Eastbourne Eagles 13/5/16
colin wood replied to Phil The Ace's topic in National League Speedway
In some ways the national league is the most important. Its where future elite league riders start out and learn their trade.I'll admit to being an elitist in the past but I went to the first Colts match and was pleasantly surprised at the quality of racing and the effort put in by the riders. Its great to see new young talent emerging whether its for the Colts or the away riders and the entertainment provided so far has been every bit as good as the Elite league match. The added bonus of watching at the NSS means I will hopefully watch all Colts and Aces matches now, something I wouldn't have done at the dog track.Happy days -
Belle Vue V Swindon 11 May, 2016.

The track will provide some fantastic racing when its fully bedded in.The Colts match was just as good and young Dan Bewley was only a second and a bit slower! It really is ultra fast. -
Belle Vue Colts V Mildenhall 6 May 2016
colin wood replied to Aces51's topic in National League Speedway
Great advert for national league speedway and far better than some of the matches I saw at the dog track in the so-called elite league. The track looked great and rode very fast and what a talent young Dan Bewley is.Credit to Mildenhall for taking the fixture and providing some excellent speedway. -
Belle Vue Colts V Mildenhall 6 May 2016
colin wood replied to Aces51's topic in National League Speedway
Tracks that run national league speedway as well as elite league should be applauded.Think they will get a very good crowd for this. Thanks to Mildenhall for creating history as the first away team to ride at the NSS☺ -

Judging by Sky pictures of the crowd think the refunds could have been covered by the change in Busters back pocket!
