  1. Kings Lynn v Rye House 14.04.17 (postponed) https://www.flickr.com/photos/the_womble/albums/72157679365046864
  2. That wouldn't have been Watt that left early, he was still at the track after other riders had left
  3. my pictures from Peterborough v Redcar KOC 09.04.17 https://www.flickr.com/photos/the_womble/albums/72157679334851523
  4. I can't believe the amount of moaning about the times .. it was only Simon's testimonial so far this season and as I said testimonials will always take longer, when the team meetings start it will be back to normal
  5. a testimonial will take longer because of many things, but the presentation will go much longer because of gifts to all riders, extra interviews, and extra pictures
  6. youngsters getting the GTR has to be the way to get this deal working .. the established riders won't want to know, but get the kids on board now so when the regs say everyone has to use GTR it won't be such an issue
  7. Peterborough tried that last season with Cook, Bjerre, Thomsen but it still didn't work out .. to me the way the team is built this year is the way to go
  8. for some reason I thought Poole were Tuesdays
  9. Team USA are really pushing for the future, it's good to see the info for them on a regular basis, Steve Evans and the team are seriously on a mission. the preview edition of the Star is great value and seeing some of the predictions does make me chuckle
  10. excellent issue, but personally just a bit disappointed
  11. do you honestly think Scott had intentions to ride this year? I'm not saying it was forced on him, but it was out of necessity as there are no replacements available for Kyle Hughes. and you won't see him all season, much much less in fact some clubs try treating the league as a breeding ground for the future, the 'stand alone' clubs have other priorities
  12. then you'll start getting the 'not value for money' posts
  13. a few pictures from Kings Lynn P&P https://www.flickr.com/photos/the_womble/albums/72157680253967410
  14. a few pictures from Kings Lynn P&P https://www.flickr.com/photos/the_womble/albums/72157680253967410
  15. I like the colours of the new suits, very smart .. Chris is waiting for his from Maliniak
  16. I'm not so sure that was getting home, I've a feeling the jury meeting after the meeting made it a long night and the doc was staying local
  17. Peterborough v Scunthorpe 24.03.17 https://www.flickr.com/photos/the_womble/albums/72157681808095226
  18. the Poole track was excellent back in the 80's, great shape and size with plenty of dirt .. the newer shape could be good too, but needs a lot of work
  19. Testimonials always take longer than a regular meeting, lots of presentations and interviews, lots of extra photos, support races etc, so it was expected. I saw some good racing today though, so came home happy
  20. certainly not the track it used to be, but he has admitted he needs someone there to look after it properly, he's had to spend too much time sorting other things. my favourite tracks in the UK are Peterborough and Somerset, proper racers tracks
  21. I have to give you credit for being perceptive, you're totally correct that Kings Lynn is NOT on the south coast. BUT, I believe Kings Lynn DID get the heavy rain that swept across the east coast
  22. Belle Vue was a new track and the unknown how it would react, Poole has been there for years and still doesn't get any better. My guess is Matt isn't paying out for track work as he won't be there to benefit from it. So if it stopped raining on Thursday morning before a Friday evening meeting, I'd suggest you need new track staff. Had the Young Stars P&P on Wednesday, absolutely threw it down with rain, but Buster said if it stops he'll take the surface off so the team could get laps in. Instead we came back on Thursday and the track was perfect
