excellent issue, but personally just a bit disappointed

do you honestly think Scott had intentions to ride this year? I'm not saying it was forced on him, but it was out of necessity as there are no replacements available for Kyle Hughes. and you won't see him all season, much much less in fact some clubs try treating the league as a breeding ground for the future, the 'stand alone' clubs have other priorities

the Poole track was excellent back in the 80's, great shape and size with plenty of dirt .. the newer shape could be good too, but needs a lot of work

Testimonials always take longer than a regular meeting, lots of presentations and interviews, lots of extra photos, support races etc, so it was expected. I saw some good racing today though, so came home happy

Belle Vue was a new track and the unknown how it would react, Poole has been there for years and still doesn't get any better. My guess is Matt isn't paying out for track work as he won't be there to benefit from it. So if it stopped raining on Thursday morning before a Friday evening meeting, I'd suggest you need new track staff. Had the Young Stars P&P on Wednesday, absolutely threw it down with rain, but Buster said if it stops he'll take the surface off so the team could get laps in. Instead we came back on Thursday and the track was perfect

I wasn't at Poole last night, but I was at Belle Vue for the Peter Craven Memorial last year, but despite that I feel more disappointed about last night. Poole is an established track and the staff should KNOW when a track isn't fit for riding. Belle Vue was a first, the unknown. But Poole still happily took the money from all those supporters that travelled from up and down the country. Reading back on the Peter Craven thread from last year, there are some wonderful comments from Starman regarding what went on, I wonder what his explanation will be after this?

probably gone with Kurtz for his track knowledge

results are hard to call, but the racing is normally superb -
Swindon to me look favourites. Kings Lynn strong too. It's all about avoiding last places while it's viable it makes it saleable. he would be mad to try to sell it when things have gone t1ts up, so don't be too cocky about things.
