  1. nah, the riders closest to 7.99 will be asking for the earth
  2. so everyone on here saying big decisions need to be made, yet you make light of that and expect everything within a few hours .. maybe you should call Matt to ask him what's taking so long
  3. I'd be happy with Belle Vue - speedway is about seeing good racing and that's where's best in this country, with Peterborough right up there too
  4. so for example their money is paid to Kings Lynn yet the promoter at Rye House is denied anything from visiting fans??!!
  5. there's always a mid-season break, why not have the AGM then instead of waiting? few months of the season gone, can see what works and what doesn't, and try to force commitment for the following year so everyone can move forward straight away
  6. Middlo, Ted Hubbard, Barney Kennett, Les Rumsey, Karl Fiala, Peter Oakes, Steve Hartley, Bernie Collier, Graham Tattersall, Kevin Hawkins, Paul Ackroyd, Richard Clark, Garry Stead, Steve Weatherly, Graham Miles, Bert Harkins, Barry Briggs, Gary Cambridge, Mick Bell, Mike Patrick, Bengt Jansson, John Chaplin, Bruce Cribb, Dave Allen, Olly Allen, Tommy Allen, Dave Morton, Leon Flint, James Shanes, John Davis, Alan Sage, Pete Seaton, Richard Greer, Brian Clark, Ian Clark, Scott Nicholls, Peter Schroek, Jimmy Mac, Eric Broadbelt, Troy Pratt, Peter Sampson, Frank Smith, Mark Blackbird, Dave Piddock, Garry May, Mark Loram ... plenty more, just all I can think of right now
  7. my pictures from the WSRA Dinner & Awards Evening >> here >> https://www.flickr.com/photos/the_womble/albums/72157689233599154/with/26623242839/
  8. this, in my opinion, was a big part of the issues of 2017 .. some saying rip the track, then others can't/won't ride it
  9. haven't seen Lewi's twitter, but if it's Adrian Flux you're talking about, they sponsored Lewi this season but he wasn't at KL
  10. as much as i like Pedersen & Holder, i think it's time they actually went through the qualifiers to prove themselves, Pedersen after injury, Holder after form drop. Having to ride qualifiers will possibly push them to turn things around which would be good for not only them, but us the spectators. Both are 100% capable but need to be out of the comfort zone
  11. but you have a massive divide within the sport, and all the time there are conflicts at the top there's no moving forward
  12. a bit of non-league football for a darn sight less than either!! proper football without all the diving and cheating and ridiculous pay packets to the people that don't give a monkeys about the club they play for. i grew up watching NL & BL speedway, and i really enjoyed the NL which, at that time, was for British and Commonwealth riders only. the racing was excellent with plenty of continuity in the teams, local riders, local sponsors, and a great atmosphere. with the point above, why would we be worse off making our way back to that sort of thing? supporters will know who their team is, and i believe the double up/down issue and the cost are the main ingredients for keeping people away
  13. Holder was going to go whatever, so why not try to make the most of it, and there was no way Poole would have let him get a 28 day ban at that point of the season
  14. don't you think the sport here is in enough 5hit without trying to encourage most of them back!!! unbelievable
  15. and if it's the other way then it's probably goodbye Peterborough speedway but never mind we are inundated with tracks
  16. prior to double up/down being allowed many riders had jobs too, but since they had the chance to ride for more than one club and get more than one wage it all changed
  17. i think that sums up the situation in a way .. look at the average age of speedway supporters now
  18. especially as the season is officially until October 31st, unless it's changed since i signed a speedway contract
  19. team managers should be a big part of the team, and i still think they should be able to change the lineup to suit, exactly how they used to for different tracks or teams. having fixed gate positions, fixed riding order etc, all takes away from a managers job
  20. i still think there's more to this involving Poole. Jack Holder was going to ride for Torun whatever, but i think there was no way Poole were going to let him get a 28 day ban and miss out on Jack leading up to the playoffs, so i wouldn't be surprised if there was 'advice' from the south coast also regards giving permission and taking the money
  21. you don't seem to understand do you .. you've said that people keeping away is the problem and clubs will close, yet that is EXACTLY what you're doing over a petty reason. you either want speedway to survive or you don't, and it looks like you don't
