  1. Denmark in a really difficult position at the moment, in a way very much how GB was a few years ago with riders that have been around a while, maybe on their way down, with no-one really coming through to take their place. At least here there are riders now good enough to give the manager a choice to make, and the future is certainly looking a lot healthier
  2. i still like the idea of having Bacon in the team, he's improving and he's scoring ok for his average. should always try to keep someone on the up
  3. i stay in Bristol do the pairs friday cardiff saturday, works perfect
  4. 4 massive screens above us, they showed all the replays the ref was seeing
  5. nothing to do with information from the club!! but i was in Warsaw for the practice friday and GP saturday and was talking to people
  6. it's more that Shanes is the one taking the blame for Poole's poor form
  7. i saw on social media he was visiting his mechanic building stuff up ready for the GP, so i expect him to ride
  8. the Pole won't be going anywhere Starman, mr Shovlar knows his stuff
  9. nice and sunny with blue skies here near Holbeach now, decision being made around 3 so you never know if it stays like this as forecast
  10. half hour up the road near Holbeach, absolutely tipping it down at the moment, BUT, it is meant to stop in a couple of hours and a nice evening to follow
  11. wonder if Kenneth Hansen would fit? or a Kenneth Hansen & Jan Graversen depending on points available
  12. reason why so many are ditching Cardiff and going to Poland .. it's a shame because the atmosphere at Cardiff is good too, but if they price themselves out of it then it will only get worse
  13. Rose crashed at Kings Lynn last week, it was a suspected broken wrist but turned out to be ligament damage .. maybe back too soon by the sound of it
  14. also, what happened to that track dryer that was made a few years ago to be taken around the country for Sky meetings?? was it ever used? and where is it now?
  15. i think that's more to do with Kings Lynn being a multi-use stadium, so the covers would be up and down all the time and there just isn't the staff or volunteer levels to do it
  16. that gold bike sat in my dads garage at home for a couple of years in bits. dad & Ivan went up to Donington to the old speedway museum where the bike had been loaned with strict instructions from Ivan not to polish the gold. unfortunately, they kept polishing and it wore the gold plate down so Ivan decided there and then it wasn't staying. the bike was loaded in the car and just unloaded at dads and it stayed until Ivan decided to get it shipped back. i remember staying at Ivan's when i was about 16 or 17 too and sleeping in the same room as the gold bike, winged wheel, and hundreds of trophies - quite a prvilidge
  17. be careful, it was new shale at Kings Lynn last year that caused the fallout
  18. yeah shame about Lewis, going to be difficult getting the right replacement
  19. yep, pretty sure i did. i even sorted tickets for other people too as i worked out how it was done
  20. i paid by debit card .. it's easy when you understand how it works
  21. to me what Kings Lynn and the sport in general is missing is fun. used to be able to go to speedway, have fun, have a drink with the riders in the bar after, and actually feel part of it. the PL days were brilliant, not just because of the trophies, but the atmosphere too, all the themed nights in the summer brought out people dressing up, banner competitions, lots going on, and it was good fun
  22. big bad Brad at Wimbledon, awkward style as so tall, but did ok although rather frustrating
  23. Ivan was MBE also, and very proud he was
