do you not think the track had been neglected for a number of years? it always seemed to be the same problems cropping up year after year but nothing was done until what sounds like a bit of a botch before this season started

Glyn can do a job, he doesn't turn bad overnight, maybe the problem here is the equipment at his disposal and the amount of time the Poole track has been neglected.

really beating himself up about his score, despite winning heat 2 he felt he should have contributed so much more. just worried now what's happened tonight -

it was actually Gatwick so further than Stansted, and the flight was 6.05 .. i got him to the airport at 4.45am though, exactly 7 hours drive -
so going back a short time, Jack Holder (having a contract with a Polish club) missing Peterborough meetings on a Sunday wasn't really anything that could be stopped if Poland have priority on that day

looking at the forecast what chance is there of this being called off early? -
Team Suits and/or Race Jackets
stevehone replied to steve roberts's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
i've said it before but race suits HAVE to be the best option right now for identifying riders/teams. so many riders are now (rightfully) wearing a neck brace which seems to cover the logo/sponsor/team name, i think there needs to be a re-think over designs again so sponsors don't get fed up when their name is covered up -

feel for Cook here, he's very much a confidence rider and getting kicked down like this will do even more harm. why not keep him in but start with Tai & Lambert and if Cook feels ready then use him. i know Craig is having a lot of motor issues and if you have no confidence in what you're riding then that hits just as much - i'm wondering if Craig was to even take a month out and get everything sorted, get testing in Poland, and come back the rider we know he is -

so he's done ok then, why sack him?

there is no money in the sport in this country, yet you'll probably find the 6/7 point riders are the ones now able to name their price as they're the most sought after, not like the days when the 3rd heat leader was an 8 point rider. this country needs to keep costs down, and if riders can't ride without 2 teams then maybe it's time to get serious about things here and make them choose. we still have teams, but with Monday being a fixed night i fear for some of them, unless there's a mass exodus to the CL where they can have weekends and potential for actually getting people in. i had conversations with people around the sport a couple of days ago regarding this and i was told that Wolves are doing ok, but seriously, are they really? IF they had the option of another night do you think they'd take it?

wonder how many current PL teams will consider moving into the CL just to be able to run on a more favourable race night -

shame Poole couldn't tease KK away from Rye House, he always ups his game when riding for Poole apparently -
so with the excess points and taking into account using Lambert's wouldn't it fit?

my dad had a similar long chat in the hotel, he's also mighty cheesed off that he has a house he can't even go to!

i still believe the GTR should have been aimed more towards the NL to get riders using the GTR, saving money (after the initial outlay though obviously) and using the engines throughout the levels. top riders are more unlikely to move as they will generally have so much more invested. one of the problems we have in the NL though was mentioned by Shale Searcher, why do you need spoke straws and all the bits a GP rider has at that level??

Bacon & Grondal at reserve and Kennett in the team certainly has a strong look about it
