  1. be good to see Niels at Peterborough again, he certainly struggled on the grip early on at Kings Lynn
  2. as said, that's down to the riders unless there is a club mechanic
  3. my pictures from WSRA Gala Dinner & Awards, 17.11.18 https://www.flickr.com/photos/the_womble/albums/72157700585985972/with/45063534295/

  5. either a walk back towards Centrum you'll find bars and restaurants, or go into the Old Town .. we got a meal this year in Molly Malones at about 11.30pm, good food and a good pub
  6. when i was a kid going to Wimbledon Stadium, so much of the evening was the excitement and anticipation of the racing, and it's things like that that have me hooked, but where is there ANYTHING to get the kids interest and keep it these days? Logic says it should be the racing, but so much more needs to be done. the anticipation bit at Wimbledon was when the track lights were on but all the stadium lights went off so just a lit up track for attention. why doesn't that happen now, is it health and safety, or is it that the track lighting at so many places is so bad if the stadium lights went out we'd ALL be in darkness. and something Dean & Les mentioned .. riding speedway should be about enjoyment a lot more than it obviously is, so much is about money. when i rode in the first team i had no idea what i was getting and just took the envelope and that was that. i WANTED to race, simple as that. bike on the rack on the back of the car Sunday night, early to work for BT Monday morning, half day holiday and off for a 3 hour drive to Exeter in the afternoon
  7. everyone guessing their team in the CH will be hoping for Drew Kemp
  8. i wouldn't be surprised .. i think Niels is struggling with the Kings Lynn track early in the meeting, although hopefully his shoulder will now get some time to start working properly.
  9. he reverted to Scunthorpe i think. Part of the Garrity/Toft swap that was part of the rider deal Ged done where he got shafted
  10. don't forget practice for the GP on the Friday afternoon .. some might find it dull but i quite enjoy it. entry is by GP programe only i believe, around £4
  11. except rider that are on the more desirable lower averages know they will be in demand and want more money ... maybe
  12. Charles Wright, Jake Allen, Scott Nicholls, BWD, Adam Ellis, and Tofty should leave some points for number 1 but solid around showground
  13. i feel the same .. first rode a speedway bike at Hyde Road, Belle Vue, learnt at Milton Keynes training track and Hackney, had one meeting for Arena Essex, then signed for Canterbury, after they closed i did part season at Reading, then finished up at Exeter ... and i grew up going to Wimbledon
  14. so with having someone owning more tracks knowing full well he doesn't pay over the odds isn't a start?
  15. no, but you can't change things all in one go can you?
  16. people will moan no matter what came out of the AGM, it's all part of speedway
  17. if Peterborough are CL i doubt that'll happen, i'm sure Rob isn't a fan of all the travelling
  18. maybe whatever TV money comes in should be used as prize money?
  19. if Sundays are no longer an option to run then that's a very sad situation at Peterborough. Sunday was definitely the more popular raceday picking up many supporters from places like Kings Lynn and Leicester, which doubt will happen so much on a weeknight. i wonder if this was one of the issues that prompted Ged to sell .. shame, things were certainly picking up running sundays
  20. why would he need to leave Kings Lynn? put someone in to run either
  21. that's why i think if it's anything to do with the riders it will stay as it is. i have thought for a long time that the AGM should be held during the July SWC break, with discussions every month with every promoter
