i think the only thing Buster is guilty of this year is trying to make the sport more financially viable. by setting strict pay caps it means the clubs are run to a proper budget and don't overstretch themselves, something that's been needed for many years, and by now having 3 teams it means nearly half the league adhear to that, instead of just 1 team each year. if the other teams followed suit then it would get rid of a lot of the "will they run won't they" every year ... ok, so there will be some riders that won't ride here, but surely it would then show who is bleeding the leagues dry without getting extra income on the terraces to cover that.

you have to remember that there was a T Balfe sponsorship package in place while Ged and Neil were there, maybe this was to balance a few things

around the stadium it will be quite busy, and some of the bars on the city side of the bridge will be busy as well as the old town. we go into the old town after GP, some places will be buzzing. Warsaw is a fabulous city though, so worth a look around instead of drinking

does that mean they ran out of riders to try to sign?

stevehone replied to SteveLyric2's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
when Kings Lynn had Topinka as their captain through the PL days the team really were a TEAM, the spirit in the pits lifted everyone and also had a lot of teams beaten before the meeting started -

stevehone replied to SteveLyric2's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
to be honest, i wasn't actually told, i asked the question end of February as i had suspicions, to be told they were all sorted same with Peterborough too, not told anything until someone mentioned they heard i wasn't doing it anymore, so i asked and was told not needed. that's life, there's other things -

maybe Ged built a team that HE was going to track with the backing of T Balfe? Ged went and T Balfe went, leaving the shortfall? just a guess

i remember, maybe 5 years ago, at Kings Lynn all the riders had to have "Roger Warnes Transport" on their fork cover, but one rider refused. when i asked him how he got away with it he said "well if they want me to ride ...." so it's been done in the past

Longtrack
stevehone replied to Dandelion's topic in Grasstrack, Sidecar, Short Track and Cycle Speedway
i'm another looking to get to more longtrack, i've only been to Scheessel the year Tatum won his first title and loved it. a really small town with limited accomodation, but as mentioned, between Hamburg and Bremen, although only went into Bremen. i'm not sure whether it's worth driving to some or fly/car hire -
Team Suits and/or Race Jackets

Peterborough also had matching covers under Rick & Julie. The Ipswich kit definitely looks superb -

you miss the point of trying to keep the club in the media with relevant information when needed. for example, your club Swindon, you have Doyle but i can't remember who else, and all the Swindon attention has turned towards the mess that's been your track and stadium

i fear for Lee, he's a good bloke, but i feel he'll get the same level of support that other new promoters get, zilch
