  1. and makes the thought better as i've never seen his chat show
  2. not sure that'll happen, reckon the clubs have the riders by the short and curlies after this year
  3. theoretically, yes i think .. it's been a few years since he last rode for Australia and has dual nationality
  4. but has a Russian (and Polish) passport i.e nationality
  5. wouldn't be surprised if 2021 will be Woffinden's last season in speedway if he doesn't win the title. car racing in Australia maybe?
  6. sure i've seen Kylmakorpi ride with a Sweden race jacket in a GP qualifier and he has since ridden for Finland in SON
  7. i expect now Lublin is announced people with tickets will be contacted
  8. anything to get the Poles involves i guess, so they can take over that sport too. i remember Diener at Schessell in '94 or '95 when Tatum won his first title, he was no spring chicken then! i've seen him at the Poacher in the last few years too
  9. Peterborough Northern Star Ladies v March Town Utd Ladies today in the FA Cup, really good crowd there too
  10. not a good GP, but the riders that are letting the pressure get them are at fault, not the track, they have the clutch. i'm still in the camp that thinks as long as you don't touch the tapes then you don't get penalised
  11. heard talk of some riders spraying their air filters with something just a couple of years ago, allegedly helped them at the start if they didn't do a practice start on the way to tapes .. just a rumour though
  12. i also rate his longtrack win in '81, incredible style for that size track (as mentioned by Dave Lanning in commentary), up against a good lineup but with a fast DOHC Jawa too
  13. no speedway but photographed 4 ladies football matches, couple of hundred spectators at one of them, and around 80 at the others with no noticable distancing, couple of restaurants, Brands Hatch, Snetterton, both no noticable distancing, couple of photoshoots, trips to London .. no problems at any
  14. the only way i can see speedway going forward is 100% curtail where the big money (in UK terms, not Poland) goes. run it as a stable business first, not win at all costs, let the sport grow without wondering if teams will run each season, it's the only way i can see will work. BUT, everyone wants success and to win (at least at home), and some will be able to do that more than others, but if things are run strictly to budget it will give others a chance to catch up
  15. but the other side of it is what if a stadium is not open and not able to give availability?
  16. certainly doesn't seem to be any from certain politicians that like to play the race card at every opportunity
  17. pride in the product is what seems to be seriously lacking across the leagues
  18. unfortunately, i don't think it's as cut and dried as you make out
  19. actually, i think i need to adjust this a bit .. will the OTHER PROMOTERS allow a track to maybe run some bumper meetings and cream off more than others?
  20. not a bad idea, but will the SCB allow a track to maybe run some bumper meetings and cream off more than others?
  21. the only way i can see the sport in this country surviving. it's time to mix new ideas with things that worked in the past, look at successes and failures over the years and cherrypick what worked. it's also blatantly obvious that the crowd levels here and the lack of mainstream sponsors can't support the rider demands, the time is now right to start from the bottom and work upwards from there.
  22. the 500 chairs are good to watch too, Mitch Godden among others would probably jump at the chance to have regular racing.
