  1. track is much improved but it's still bumpy on the outside of bend 2 especially early on
  2. definitely needs to be an incentive instead of standard BSPL money. they should do the British Final over a number of meetings
  3. tracks like BV sort the 4 out on track from rider to racer. big track should be more common
  4. it's speedway, riders get injured, how many teams in the country will finish with their starting 7?
  5. Didn’t like him at Wimbledon, didn’t seem interested, just going through the motions
  6. always a nightmare when East Anglian teams visited, Kings Lynn having Lee & Jessup was never fun
  7. i think both Leon and Drew will finish with 5 - 5.5, both got so much improvement in them
  8. i agree, once they closed off most of the stadium it really lost it's attractiveness .. it was going downhill for years but that really did it for me. good memories of sitting on the bend 2 terrace arguing with Ipswich supporters
  9. the place has a lot to answer for, my dad met Ivan M there, my parents met there, and i met my ex wife there, my ex inlaws met there, so some good some not so good

  11. looks a good prospect, seen him in Czech Republic and Germany and he's looked really good both times, possibly better than Basso that everyone is raving about

  14. hated it, i knew so many people around the stadium through supporters club and mates i just felt too self conscious. brilliant track though, small but surprisingly fast

  17. i think it was when the golfer took over, surname of Brown. i used to go chat to Maido in the speedway office during my lunch break when i worked in Copper Mill Lane around '84/5 time
  18. ok, to save the forum becoming overrun did anyone go to speedway prior to 1948 or can that award go to Hyam and we can all be done with it?
  19. that was my nan and grandad, they lived 2 mins from Plough Lane in Havelock Road

  22. my dad was a groundsman and my mum walked the greyhounds round before the race, that's how they met. my grandad also worked at the stadium
