used to go to Elfield Park when it was a training track, and also rode it in a league meeting (or cup, can't remember) for Exeter, and i could never understand the problem with noise at the time as it was at Bleak Hall and i always thought it suited the name, was in the middle of nowhere

in the 70s and 80s a lot of UK based riders would make a point of going over to Germany etc for Sunday longtrack and earning really good money from one meeting

Scunny has always produced good racing, one of the better tracks

i find it strange that Germany are in neither semi final having made the final last year

that's how i thought it was but this year they've changed it, that's why GB HAD to win their qualifier to get through. qualifiers for final are Poland, GB, winner of semi in Norway, and highest FIM seeded nation that fails to qualify

top 2 teams qualify from this as the last place goes to highest FIM ranked nation
