  1. so they paid out more than they had come in?
  2. absolutely, but if there's not enough bums on seats to cover all the outgoings .....
  3. of course, there will always be outside influences, but as long as it's not the CLUB having to fork out then they can work within a budget
  4. no because the supporters don't generally know the situation, but it certainly affects the clubs
  5. but the CLUB can restrict, and if sponsors want to pay that's up to them, but should be separate from the clubs
  6. but isn't that down to individual tracks and possibly their own business model? some clubs will be let down by their landlords too, what can the BSPL do about that? if some clubs want to pay well over the odds then it's their choice, and hopefully this year things can be reigned in by controlling guarantees to riders .. in my mind that's what has been one of the biggest issues over the years as riders know what they'll get whether they score 0 or 15.

  9. still think Danny will end up at Plymouth, wherever he ends up though he'll do well, good servant to the sport in the UK
  10. good rider is Rew, seen him a few times now. hope he actually gets a ride at Gdansk though, have a habit of using their own

  12. from what i understand he won't be signing for anyone
  13. Maybe it’s to do with new owners at 2 clubs requiring a different league?
  14. plenty of rides in the UK while riding abroad, Glasgow is a good track too
  15. we get an apartment in Warsaw, £177 for 5 nights, close to Centrum and plenty of bars and restaurants .. Cardiff really is expensive
  16. You were talking about the playoff final, Glasgow weren’t in that
  17. But if Leicester can’t get to run their home leg, the only other option would be to hand a walkover to Poole surely? at least changing venue still gave a fighting chance
  18. when guesting riders can dictate terms a little better .. i knew of a rider that made sure his travel was covered in full, what it actually cost, not what the standard pence per mile was. maybe Lawson was paid X amount up front?
  19. he did say how he lost so much money at Eastbourne and then found out one of the promoters was involved at Plymouth .. once bitten and all that
  20. i'm feeling Danny King will be one to move on, not sure why, but think he'll still be travelling down south, and a bit further than Poole. no idea on averages but would they be able to keep the other 6 and get a mid/low averaged rider in?
  21. under contract to Gdansk for 2022 and wouldn't let him ride for anyone else
