sorry, don't have the number for the Pathe News....
don't remember anyone being around doing that back then.
wonder if the Speedway Star would have info in some of their video archives..
it's probably why so many ex-riders still stay around the sport as team manager, promoter, coach, machine examiner etc etc
speedway is pure adrenalin and to try and replace that after many years of having this 'fix' is going to be extremely difficult.
good post Sandman
wasn't quite heat 14...it was as they went over the finish line.
you can see quite clearly NP flick his back wheel out as Adams was on the outside of him... good job Adams had gone past, could have been dodgy for the pair of them....
at least i wasn't alone in what i saw...
taken from another post.
i can't recall posting anything about Pedersen on here.... until tonight.
the Pedersen thread wasn't even read by me too many times as i am not interested..it's just his supporters arguing with his non-supporters.
but i watched heat 14 tonight
Yawn yawn  Do you really believe Nicki would put a member of his family through the fence just to win a GP  For god's sake grow up and smell the roses
er...read the first 7 words of Shazzy's post again... in case you can't, here it is... As the commentator said at the beginning....
this is Sky... maybe they have paid attention to their own productions.
you obviously weren't watching the end of heat 14 too closely?
you want to see the difference between the World Cup in Denmark and the track in Czecho tonight...
Going back to the USA....
LA Colisseum like '82 if they are thinking big, with the opportunity to take in a meeting at Costa Mesa (now that is small).
what has happened to Long Beach? held an unbelievable World Team Cup final in '85 with another in '88. is there a track there still??
good meeting tonight... and the MASSIVE difference between this track and the last few one-off tracks > confidence to be able to race.
surely someone has to look and realise that proper tracks produce proper racing.
already looking forward to Bydgoscz
absolutely disgusted with Nicki Pedersen... i've let everyone have their say and not said a word, but heat 14 tonight, as they are getting to the line he sticks his back wheel out blatantly at Leigh Adams. Good job Adams had just squeezed by. Terrible attempt at slowing Adams :x
My prediction is that it won't be as much of a shambles as Gothenburg!!
Crump
Nicholls
Adams
Gollob
Rickardsson could get in there if he doesn't get an outside gate
don't know what you mean 21CH....
i was at the LA 1982 World Final and from my memory the track was pretty good and that was a one-off track laid on the running track, so obviously someone out there knows what they are doing.
but then Ivan Mauger was one of the promoters not Ole Olsen....
