  1. but wasn't it the BSPA that gave Kings Lynn either fine or a very stiff talking to when they gave refunds for a meeting called off after 6 heats?
  2. common denominator here is both are south coast clubs and both bring their fans. i think on the whole the speedway supporters are treating this meeting with the exact attitude the riders do.
  3. you better ask Wizard of Shadwell, he seems to be the expert in this field
  4. did mine just before the racing started might go and have a beer on my sunny patio now
  5. well maybe in Poole they don't use the Met office, they lick their finger and stick it in the air
  6. well the Poole propaganda machine tells us it never rains in Poole (nice and sunny here near Kings Lynn) have to make a mention about Jonathan Green and his interview with Crump ... does he listen to what the riders actually say???? Crump stood there, he said he'd made lots of changes, engines, mentality, riding his motorcross bike, generally remembering why he likes to ride his speedway bike ... next question from Green ... have you changed anything with your package!!!! Green then says the rain has stopped, the camera pans to the crowd and it's raining
  7. i go to speedway for good racing, not for the most comfy seats to sit on in the warm grandstand and by the way, for once listen to Vincent Vega ... Buster Chapman owns the STADIUM, not just the promotion, more than Poole can manage
  8. i could ask if she'd make any changes to the setup after the first go.
  9. shooting star was only jealous that i took pictures of Sophie Blake on Sunday
  10. no problem Fd ... good to see you again although you were at the wrong end of the pits to go shouting at you.
  11. i thought Wilson was one of the more exciting riders out there and was prepared to battle for his points ... certainly the best Englishman on the track yesterday! no idea what his average is, but would he fit in to Rye House as a short term replacement for Robson??
  12. sarah said you and me could have had a beer and a chat and she would have gone to buy Jesper B Jensen a drink
  13. was good to see False dawn out there in the sidecars ... he had a couple of bumpy rides, as well as trying to mount the fence from the start but we were suitably impressed ... took plenty of photos of them too!
  14. when i saw your post saying you'd been i said to shooting star i wish i'd known you were going, would have come to say hi.
  15. well shooting star and me thought it a very enjoyable afternoon (albeit rather chilly when the sun wasn't out) and very good value for money. there was some good racing, mostly from P'boro riders once they'd missed the gate, and the race of the day had to be Jensen's last to first in the final ... fantastic ride. presentation was well done, and despite the rain coming down on a couple of occasions it seemed to go very smoothly. Glad for Sullivan that the meeting went ahead, and i hope he had a really good day to remember. will have some pictures online soon.
