might have something to do with the same old crap from British fans that can't accept that their team has been beaten... i.e Euro Championships.. 'that ref was to blame' 'rooney got hurt' 'owen was off form' 'the ball was different' 'the grass was too green' 'leaves on track' 'wrong kind of snow' etc etc etc ad infinitum for any sporting event.... oh well, soon be the olympics... more excuses filtering out

and restock the shelves with good old British Sour Grapes

nuff said... if Nicholls had beaten PK we wouldn't be seeing all this drivel

Tonight at Poole

back on the fags since heat 25 too i bet -
i'm not missing the point (Nicholls has already done that tonight )... but the point i'm trying to make is that there are 3 others that didn't see the red light... just what was Nicholls seeing? i have a powerful auto-focus flash that produces the short bursts of red light, and i know what he says he saw, but the other 3 kept going Yes Steve, because perhaps they didn't see it. The 2 riders in front had perhaps passed where the light came from & NP was shielded by being behind Scotty. The fact is YOU don't know what he saw, he did. And I think it is reasonable to assume that no speedway rider would stop racing in that situation just because it seemed like a good idea. You have ridden a speedway bike, obviously not at this level, but riders have it ingrained into their racing psyche that if a red light is shown, they stop. If you honestly believe that he saw nothing & in a similar situation you would have acted differently, then good for you, that makes you a better man than him. well i didn't see the red light mate, and obviously Nicholls saw something, but he didn't see the red lights switched on by the ref, and that's my point... there are red lights all round the bend and on the straights, and yes you are correct that i have ridden and obviously not at this level and i will say when the red lights come on you do actually see considerably more than just the one little flash

whoever she wanted to i suppose... not really anyone else's business

and it was apparent to me GB should have made the most of the outside gates in the early stages then
-
what are you trying to say about Honest Hans?
-
Because he saw a red light & the others didn't. Scott is a racer & wouldn't shut off & put his hand up for no reason. If you can't say anything sensible don't say anything. as posted by Shooting Star earlier.... etc etc greengrocers selling a lot of those sour grapes tonight basically.... so it's not a sensible mention that one rider sees a light but three others don't?? so Nicki Pedersen and whoever was in front of Nicholls aren't racers?? maybe they were racers that are not seeing things

Who will win the World Cup??
stevehone replied to Vincent Vega's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
well they had the luck but still didn't win...says it all really... maybe the Hans Andersen thing was just cancelling out heat 23? -
well people need someone to blame.... personal thoughts are.... there are 4 riders in every race, why does one stop and three keep going? answers on a postcard to Neil Middleditch c/o Poole Speedway
-
well at least people haven't laid into Nicki Pedersen yet
-
seem to recall the Aussies doing something very similar at the World Cup Final at Coventry... was that 1999?? think it was Crump that 'threw' the meeting so ENGLAND didn't win that night... good to see he was blackballed by all the UK promoters
-
well no-one will be going to Brandon next season will they??

there's probably been a lot of changes since your last visit... money has actually been spent!!! the track has improved recently, and coupled with the stadium improvements it's not a bad place to go. i go mainly for the company but we do see some good racing
