  1. i think you should hang onto that thought for a while, last night's score was no better than expected against some much weaker teams
  2. and so it begins .... Jonathan Green tells Nicholls rather enthusiastically that GB won more races than Denmark did in their semi ... does Green not realise the difference between Australia & Poland, compared to Sweden (minus Jonsson), Russia and USA wonder if they'll win more races than Denmark when they have to contend with Gollob & co, Crump, Adams, or even the Russians on a more suitable track.
  3. me i want to see them in Poland, hopefully the track will be more suited to them.
  4. funny where people are saying the Danes just set their bikes up for gating and a slick track ... well surely the rest can do the same?
  5. will be funny later, everyone will be going completely over the top if GB win comfortably, and so they should ... look at the group they're in, then look at the group from Saturday, considerably easier tonight. really looking forward to seeing the Russians, there's a couple in there that could cause a suprise or two, but Team GB should get high 50's or more points.
  6. i was just going to post a link on here but you beat me to it
  7. if Team GB do a 'Denmark' on Monday though, everyone will be creaming their pants
  8. i would disagree ... Kenny was a great rider and character in our sport, he deserves to be remembered
  9. nothing to argue about ... it was 26 years ago and i can't say i remember how the bike sounded. i will certainly ask the question though.
  10. yeah, and 82, and 83, and 84 i'll ask him sometime
  11. what can i say, Ivan was and is a winner, and anything he puts his name to he would want to succeed. no point replying, people have their opinions. Kenny and Ivan both heroes of mine so maybe i'd be biased, but i know Ivan wouldn't make a stupid decision like that.
  12. irony of that post if you think about the club Harris rides for
  13. Brad Oxley Archie Windmill was a tall chap too
  14. there's my choices to start with!!
  15. shame you only want BL riders for now ... Richard Green in the NL was one of the most entertaining riders out there think you're being very kind about Preben Eriksen ... that would take us back to Kelvin Tatum again and what Kelvin had to suffer thanks to Eriksen
  16. Kelvin Tatum ... 1983 (or was it '84?) debut season for Wimbledon. in at reserve in the top league, fast bikes, not a lot of control (or that's how it looked!!)
  17. yeah, there was him and Mick Fitzpatrick
  18. yep used to ride against him, and i think we were in the same Hackney junior team once or twice in 84 or 85
  19. no pictures of the whole stadium unfortunately Ben, all i have is 3 pictures of the start/finish line and views behind that. HERE, HERE, and HERE can't work out who the geezer in white is taking the chequered flag though
  20. webshots has made them darker than the originals ... might lighten them and put them on again **edit** done
  21. want to say well done to Mike Bennett for taking on the MC job at very short notice on saturday ... did a good job
