  1. it is a 4tt, with a straight meeting without any finals etc. with a good line-up it's just now hoping that the weather is good too.
  2. well highly unlikely any changes in fixture, Kings Lynn are on a northern Edinburgh/Workington trip, and Glasgow have 3 meetings in 3 days, away to Somerset Friday, Stoke Saturday, home to Sheffield Sunday. all looks a very good meeting on the face of it but a little worrying what it will actually turn out to be. Darcy Ward as Oz U21 champion, and Kozza as runner up, surely they must be big draws for the series and especially crowd wise at the NA, but doesn't look too promising now.
  3. great to have the meeting at Kings Lynn but a shame about the date really. Kings Lynn are away to Workington that evening so straight away rules out Darcy Ward and Kozza Smith on their home track, Charles Wright with Workington, and with Glasgow also racing that evening there will be no Mitchell Davey or Josh Grajczonek.
  4. because he'll be over with Raye in the summer for a holiday instead
  5. Due to redundancy and still no job i need to sell my speedway scrapbooks from the 1946 & 1947 seasons. there is 1 book from 1946 and 3 from 1947. i have taken pictures of just a few of the pages and can be found HERE if anyone wants any info, or wants to make a serious offer, you can get me at steve.hone@o2.co.uk
  6. Alan Rivett was another at Exeter that used a Godden, he's sitting on one in the picture
  7. i did at the end of 1987 first night using it i won a race , then in my next i picked up massive drive out of 2nd turn and broke both wrists and my arm very powerful engine but hard to ride after coming from Weslake. another well known Godden rider was Simon Wigg
  8. nah, looked so much better in his black leathers and a red and yellow racejacket
  9. Darcy certainly can gate, but at the CLRC his clutch was set up differently by John Oliver to try to help things but he took some time to get used to it. something else that may suprise one or two is that Darcy is not using any super tuned equipment, he is using engines out of the powerslide bikes at Kings Lynn, so pretty much run of the mill machines. i would say that Darcy's achievements so far this season are even more impressive because of that.
  10. top 4 all came from heat 1 and Darcy took the lot of them from the back .. very unlucky lad in my view
  11. 49 seconds in, Watt dived under Troy and i thought Troy was going to come off ...
  12. is it him in the yellow leathers in THIS picture? 1986 Canterbury v Poole
  13. it was already given to somebody but they got nothing but grief even though it was promoted and sponsorship was gained.
  14. and to think the previous manager was quoted as saying he wasn't going to use any riders from the PL
  15. but if you don't agree with some people's opinions, you get things like
  16. to be honest, i'm looking forward to seeing him ride .. if he scores 0 then so be it, but i think that's pretty unlikely as he is on some good form at the moment and should have been in the team Monday. Kennett and Woffinden should certainly be ok at Vojens
  17. i did in the previous post, your arguments with all the GB manager threads seemed to point in one direction, never giving a valid reason for the then manager to stay, nor coming up with any possible answers to the problem .. what else are you getting at?
  18. Sharron, you've never had a valid response in any of the WTC threads other than sticking up for your mate, why do bother looking?
