  1. so why don't you do it, you have your head far enough up your arse to make it count. F.O.F
  2. so what needs to be done is to bring in a management team that can all help in some way to try and get the riders to a point where they can cut the mustard. i said before, get in people from different avenues ... motivation, mechanical ... let them work together. maybe the riders don't cut the mustard because the backup they are getting is the same as its been for some years and it needs fresh input, new ideas.
  3. thanks to Paul (trotter) for the info ... Final was won by Filip Sitera, 2nd Adrian Rymel, 3rd Adrian Gormonski?? Topinka finished 7th with 8pts.
  4. and a real nice bloke too ... owned the Elfield Park Training Track where i used to go most weekends.
  5. a few pictures from the meeting towards the end of THIS selection
  6. Nicki Pedersen, Jason Crump, Tomasz Gollob, and Scott Nicholls as reserves. ok, the last one isn't an issue, but you get my point.
  7. told my dad and he was pretty shocked ... he rode cycle speedway against Speedy Pete
  8. tell me, where have Nicholls and Harris had their best rounds of the GP this year? and where has Gollob?
  9. ok, so are you thinking that the Poles and Danes were using 600cc machines compared to England's 500cc? as far as i'm aware, they were all mounted on 500cc engines, but if one or two nations want to win a competition more than others then they will put more time and effort into what they have. yes, i like the idea of everyone being on standard equipment and the cream will shine through, but it aint going to happen ... but then old Scotty N and all the others have as much opportunity to make things better as everyone else in that world cup final, if they choose not to apply it, then so be it.
  10. she's saying that the riders just twisted the throttle and shut their eyes ... no skill whatsoever was needed to make any of the moves that were made
  11. but he gave it all up after 7 years of winning nothing
  12. why do you think they had 'special' machinery? spent time on it ... maybe spent money on it ... maybe set it up better ... probably able to ride it better ... hmmm Denmark were quick too, did they have 'special' machinery?
  13. have you ever heard of the saying 'flogging a dead horse'?
  14. is disgraceful the word you think should have been used?
  15. problem you have is that Brighton and Cardiff are still to an extent novelty, one off events ... if you started having more of them you wouldn't get anyone going to watch. have a look at the Brighton thread from 7 months ago and see how many people are fed up with that and won't be bothering again. i went to the first one at Brighton and not bothered about going any more, i went to one at Birmingham NEC, and i went to all the Wembley indoor meetings and i can't say i would go to any more
  16. never know trees, a few changes, a better attitude, and i might, just might, have an England avatar. then if it is in England, there will be no excuses about home track advantage.
  17. i still think it needs to be a management TEAM ... one for technical, one as a man motivator, and possibly someone else to sort all the admin side of the team, making sure they all have their passports etc
  18. Marek Cieslak to take over England? proven track record, world cup winner
  19. yep, an ex rider at international level, and who said he has to be English?
  20. but was he there? that's what i'm getting at ... they need someone THERE to see the conditions. ok, set a bike up 'for Poland', but the track could have been in any condition, with any weather ... he needs to be there.
  21. why? England had their chance last year but didn't make the most of it, Poland did.
  22. directions to the stadium and precious little else i expect
