  1. the full press release from the NA ... The King’s Lynn Stars have had to reluctantly part ways with popular Australian, Kevin Doolan. The Stars were keen to retain his services for the 2011 season but the two parties were unable to come to a financial deal. Buster Chapman is keen for the fans to understand that the both the club and Kevin have parted amicably ‘Kevin insisted he needed a pay rise which equated to around a 30% increase over the whole season. He said it was because of his increasing costs but the club could simply not afford to meet that request, especially with such an unsteady economy and the fact I would like to see our admission prices remain the same for next season. So unfortunately we had to shake hands and part ways. In view of us not being able to afford Kevin next season the chances are we will probably never be able to afford him again so we have decided that if any other club want him it will be on a full transfer only’. Buster Chapman is also keen to stress that he is worried for the financial future of many Premier League clubs ‘I would be surprised if any Premier League club could afford to employ a rider on these sort of terms and if they can then I wonder what sort of business plan they have in place. The fact is that speedways costs seem to be spiralling out of control but Stars fans can be confident that the club will never put its future in the balance for the sake of one or two riders!’
  2. Poole made their team changes after starting so badly last year and then if they had gone on to win the play-off you would hear nothing but gloating from Shovlar over the opposition bottling it, he even had a bet on Poole winning ... so, Coventry fans, give it your worst, it's only what Shovlar would be doing constantly

  4. hmmm .. i thought Darcy was 16, it was the year he rode in the Pride of the East but couldn't ride PL
  5. Darcy Ward came over and there was no disputing his talent, but because of his visa he wasn't able to ride in the PL .. i guess Mark has a similar visa.
  6. Birmingham & Sheffield, with Rye House being spoilers, depending on what Chris Neath turns up
  7. so if Harris would have made that 'never seen a better ride' when he was on a joker would you be saying it was a great decision? sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, maybe it was pressure got to Harris which then points it his way
  8. maybe because the Peterborough track staff that came to KL with the fence wouldn't be able to make it every week.
  9. Sharron, you don't know me at all, a lot has changed in 23 years. i have a very good job thankyou very much, one i absolutely love, and i don't need to 'blag' a book, it was handed to me already signed to me .. i think a book in exchange for years of giving up my bedroom is ok don't you? you keep going anyway, people will soon work things out.
